NCMA is proud to announce the publication of the Sixth Edition of the Contract Management Body of Knowledge (CMBOK). This update is driven by the changes in the Contract Management Standard Publication (CMS) Second Edition, which serves as the CMBOK’s foundation. The CMBOK Sixth Edition provides a common understanding of the terminology, practices, policies, and processes used in contract management. Primary CMBOK Adjustments. CMBOK 6 includes the following primary adjustments (see the full text of each change on the following pages): Updated the Annex to include the new ANSI-accredited CMS (ANSI/NCMA ASD 1-2019) (Page 2). Revised the CMBOK terms and definitions to match those found in the new CMS (Page 2). Added a section for the new CMS Guiding Principle—1.7 Communication and Documentation (see 3.7) (Page 4). Removed “2.4.2.3 Risk Sharing through Contract Types” and blended it into “4.1.2 Contract Types” (Page 5). Review: Very helpful - I’ve found this book to be very helpful in the Government Contracting field. This is a purchase that you definitely won’t regret. Review: Quality - Love it, and it came really fast.

Excellent reference book about Contract Management
As a Body of Knowledge book, CMBOK is excellent. It's a must to any PM, or CM...!!!

Content excellent, layout confusing
Required for class. The content, terminologies and definitions are excellent, however the overall lay out needs change. Index is poorly assembled and lacking, making it difficult to search for terminologies and content. The wording is redundant, frequently repeating the same words in back to back sentences. The CMBOK framework - phases, domains, competencies, are not logically laid out and the numbering of the chapters to the phases makes it confusing. It was as if they wanted it to stylistically standout from other BOKs, but it was poorly executed. Compare it to the PMBOK and you will hopefully understand what I mean.

This is not a hard cover book
Correct book but I was expecting a hard cover book as the picture depicted. Also the front cover of my book was creased and looked used. not happy!

Book received but …
The book sent to me is printed incorrectly … even pages are right side up, odd pages are upside down … not sure what happened, but quality control was off and the sender didn’t sort it …
