Great Support Without Restricting Movement
I am a very active person (8โ10 hours of pickleball weekly and 3โ4 hours of weight lifting), dealing with tendinitis, a distal meniscus issue, and knee pain after almost every session. I've used other fairly good brands of knee braces, but after I started using this one, I noticed about a **20% decrease in my post-workout/pickleball sessions knee pain**. What I like most is that it doesn't feel restrictive at all. It's very comfortable, even playing pickleball in Florida's brutal hot and humid weather with heat indexes around 113ยฐF. The support feels controlled and secure without limiting my movement. It's also very easy to put on. Taking it off is slightly harder, but I actually see that as a positive because it reinforces how securely it stays in place once it's on. No annoying sliding around during play. So far, this has been my favorite knee brace I've used for staying active while managing knee pain and tendinitis.

Nice fit, reasonable price, feels good & seems to help
I got this 2 strap version to use at the gym and while working out in the yard. Just rec'd and made one trip to the gym. I'll update / edit later if my opinion changes. The brace did not slip down at all while doing elliptical at the gym. The straps kept it in place, unlike my older strapless neoprene sleeve. The side 'springs' seem to add some stability to this as well. I have a bulkier / sturdier / expensive Corflex hinged braced from the VA and this is almost as good for support or pain relief. This less costly ($23) one from McDavid will be great if it lasts 6-12 months of rugged wear. I did not feel restricted while wearing at the gym. I think this is the same as the Shock Doctor brand. The brace did have a rubbery odor when I unpackaged it. I hosed it down with Lysol and its fine now. I measured approx 17-17.5 / XL and its pretty snug. I may opt for XXL when I have to replace this one. I would think one could order up and use the straps to tighten it without any trouble.

Tricky in between sizes
This got complicated. I first ordered the Large (15 - 17") as people said they fit tight. My knee is 15 1/4" so that seemed to make sense as the medium was rated 14-15. It fits OK, but I need to crank the straps over pretty tight & then I have a tuck on the top of my thigh, which hasn't been a bother so far. After a few uses I found that I need to crank it tighter & the Velcro is now going over the female side & pulling away at the stitching on the bottom, which will make it wear out sooner I guess. So, I ordered a medium just to see what it was like & wow was it tight! I could not get it up all the way so I sent it back (hurray Prime). To me the sizes should be 12-14, 14-16, 16-18, 18 - 20, etc. but I guess they have reasons for making them the way they do. For the money however it is a great support & way better than the Ortho one I had before.

Solid knee brace!
Followed the measurements guide and ordered an XL. Itโs snug and fits well but I would say if you are on the edge, order the larger size. Knee Brace works well just like my old McDavid brace did. Shipping was as advertised. I highly recommend.

Satisfied with this knee support.
I have been using this knee support for a few days and I've already noticed an improvement. I was using an elastic wrap before and the injury seemed to linger. This support captures heat and warms the knee area. The pressure from the snug fit is also nice. The metal support provides a little resistance, but does not prevent the knee from bending during normal activity. Measure your knee for a correct size. Large fits a knee of 15-17 inches. My knee was just over 15 inches and I can fit the support snugly with the velcro-like straps. Medium would have been too tight. If your knee is on a border size, go with the next size up unless you have thin legs. I will sweat under this support even when I'm inside. The support looks and feels well made. I'm content so far and will update this review if that sentiment changes. Notes from the package: Do not wear for more than 2-3 hours. Hand wash only and drip dry. There is a warning about rubber allergy, dermatitis, and circulation problems. My support was made in Taiwan. And the plastic package was easy to open and can be reused for storage.

Mc David Knee Support
I've read numerous reviews before deciding on the McDavid Neoprene Patella Knee Support With Spring Steel Stays. I am 57yrs old and carry more of my weight in the legs so I needed the xxl. They are snug but very comfortable. I have OsteoArthritis with partial bone on bone. My intention is to avoid/delay knee surgery. I have begun Physical therapy and find the water to be more beneficial and not so hard on the joints, in addition to taking OsteoBiFlex. This is working for me as long as I don't over do. I find that having a happy medium of exercise is best without over using the joint to cause more pain and discomfort. I have no intention of climbing mountains or running marathons, I just want to have more mobility, comfort and do simple day to day activities. These knee supports are great!

Best of the lightweight braces - wonโt work for medial/lateral support
Purchased for a degenerating left knee that has had to over compensate for a right knee that has had multiple ACL repair sx on it. I wanted to have some additional support on my left knee while doing intensive exercise as I can feel the grinding and slipping ever-so-slightly any time I was crouching (doing squats or lunges). My search was for a brace that would provide medial/lateral support foremost. This brace while very true to size and good for providing patellar support does not give me confidence for the side-to-side support I was looking for. โSoft Supportโ means two ridges of thicker material running along the sides of the brace but no structural support. I returned this item after trying it on for one minute and have ordered a few of the 3/3+ level braces to see if these will work (major downside here is more hardware = more weight). Would more than likely provide excellent support as a โbeefed upโ knee brace for minor issues but not adequate for sx recovery or larger issues that could pose major problems if left unchecked.

Solid knee brace - Recommended by Physical Therapist
This knee brace was purchased for my teenage athletic son before surgery. Hr was having instability issues of the knee and was able to get back on the basketball court and play for a month prior to surgery. The brace held his knee in place but is flexible. Snug fit, recommend sizing up if you are not sure.

Product is good for my purpose. Ordered small and medium but received medium and large. Good thing it fits.

I have several of this exact brace that have been in use under hockey pads weekly for over a year with no signs of trouble and with great support.
Durable, light-duty brace. I got this one as a replacement for a similar brace from Shock Doctor that came apart after a few months of regular use. I have several of this exact brace that have been in use under hockey pads weekly for over a year with no signs of trouble and with great support.

Gives medium support
Gives medium support to my knee, doesn't ride up my leg. I don't use it all the time as my physio advised it can weaken the muscles in the long run, so I just keep it for when I'm going to be using the stairs.
