LEONARD'S LASTED SEVERAL DAYS!!!!!
Leonard, The African Gray Who Ate North Carolina, naturally dispatched this toy right down to the metal chain and plastic; however, it took him slightly more time than did his destruction of most others.I have no idea why. Maybe he was simply having an off week. He deserves one, because a little over a year ago, toys lasted him a long time.... and in a few short months he rose to Champion of Wreckage status. I never should have let him watch "Rocky".In any case, we did get a couple of extra days out of it, so it earned four stars from us, leaving me to ponder whether "Super Bird Creations" means the toy was designed *for* "super birds" - or *by* "super birds". If it's *by* super birds, Leonard has graciously volunteered his services.

My caique loves this! Reordering a third time.
Edit 10/6/2021: He's on his 8th one. Never tires of it.I have two caiques, and the big one loves this. The little one does not like chewing wood, and this toy would probably last 10,000 years in his cage. Big caique goes through one every couple of months. He loves chewing up the blocks, and rubs on it every time after he takes a bath. This has resulted in him dying his feathers many different colors. Currently his chest is pink. Very stylish. Just ordered another one because it's almost down to just chain.

Definitely not made with "large parrot" materials. Chintzy hanger & toy becomes lop sided quickly.
Beginning in 1998 I've had parrots of various sizes as well as cages appropriate for whatever size bird is to be in it. The quick link SHOULD have been larger as this toy specifically states it is for a LARGE parrot yet has a quick link that is for a MEDIUM parrot. The jaws of the quick link wouldn't fit around the bars of the macaws cage but did fit nicely around the African Grey's cage (a cage for medium-size birds). The length of the quick link is also much shorter than the appropriate size for a large parrot cage. This is common among bird toy manufacturers who obviously pawn off an insufficient size hanger to save a few cents & is most irritating. This is a common problem when ordering on line as one cannot see the size of the quick link. I will no longer purchase any large parrot toys from Amazon due to this.Apparently the manufacturer felt they needed what meager cost they saved than my repeat business.Design flaw - a small chain is threaded through a center hole in the wood pieces & when the bird chews the wood pieces (which they are SUPPOSED to do) they IMMEDIATELY cracked & fell off - not lasting any time. The chain will not remain symetrical once that happens & becomes lopsided & one has to repeatedly pull the chain back through the openings of the PVC connector. If I had designed this toy (especially for the money it sold for) I would have at least put SOMETHING fastened to the chain at the very top (a cotter pin, acrylic disc, large heavy plastic bead or raw hide chew) to prevent this from happening. My birds quickly lost interest in this toy as it quickly no longer had 4 legs spread in a square but the pvc was hanging vertically & the chains were all in a row side by side. Once I took the time & proper materials necessary so it would hang properly, they were both playing on opposite sides.

Great for cockatiels
I bought this for my Senegal parrot but my cockatiel likes it so it's his now. It's twice his size but he's able to chip away at it pretty well.My cockatiel is a timid chewer and he loves this, so I would not recommend this to parrots that regularly destroy wooden toys like it's nothing.

Sun Conures favorite toy!
While the wood was slowly disappearing he would swing from the chains. A lot of fun to watch and he entertained himself. Will order again! Sun Conure

Great Toy For An African Grey!!!!!!
I love this as it makes my African Grey a very happy bird!! He loves to chew up the wood, and it keeps him playing for hours. He loves it so much that I bought another one for when this one is finally gone. My African Grey has had this toy for well over a week, and that is pretty good for him as he usually tears apart his toys in a day maybe two. I have read many negative reviews about this toy, but I see nothing wrong with it as it is a good thing for a bird to chew up the wood, and be playing is healthy for them, so they are not bored. I am happy with my purchase and so is my African Grey! :)

CAG leg caught - ER situation
I've bought SuperBirdCreations since they were a small company out of a garage & have had a positive history with their products & my CAG for about 20years. Unfortunately, tonight, there was a terrible incident and I feel the need to post a review about the situation. We had just given our CAG a couple new toys about 3 days ago and she has worked her way around the cage playing with them. Tonight she chose this SuperBird toy.My CAG is larger in comparison to most greys but grey sized toys are still appropriate for her size.Tonight around midnight, we heard the sound no grey parent wants to hear...the horrifying sound of a frightened/injured grey. She lives only 10 steps from me so I got there quickly. Somehow she got her entire leg caught thru one of the rings that keep blocks on the chain. Because of the attached ropes, she was unable to get it out & in flailing, managed to get the ring up around her thigh while building pressure on it as the toy began shifting under her weight as she hung upside down. It required extensive physical help to get her removed from the toy even though she completely cooperated. As we worked it off, we saw her foot had passed thru the ring up to her thigh. She tried to remove it but bc she was hanging upside down & already has a semi-lame leg, her supportive grip was essentially keeping her foot & leg inside the ring. It required quick removal of toy from cage while supporting her weight, etc. It has been a long night since. One I wouldn't wish on any bappy parent.Nothing like this has ever happened with our CAG and any toy. I will be reworking it using mostly destroyed toy remnants to make it safer for her. At this point in time I will not be giving her any more previously purchased toys with rings the size on this toy without modification & will contact superbird about the incident to advise them of a safety issue. As of now, I view this as an unsafe toy for parrots larger than conures & other birds on the small side.

No good for a large parrot.
Not really happy with this, and neither is my macaw. It's just too small for a large parrot. I doubt it will last her an hour.

My triton cockatoo had most of it destroyed in three ...
My triton cockatoo had most of it destroyed in three days. . When the chains were exposed, she was capable of pulling the links apart. The chain is too weak for this type of item.

Don't use for large parrots.
For a large parrot only lasted one day :( Wouldn't purchase again. While I want my parrots to chew that was an expensive one day of chewing.

Three Stars
Well thought out but the chains holding it together are too flimsy for a macaw.
