Awesome grinders! This is the second set I've bought. The firsts set got knocked off the counter and the glass reservoirs broke. I almost cried! Be sure you use high quality salt crystals (extra coarse) and peppercorns. If either is too small, they will jam up the grinders.

I am enjoying these grinders, and hopefully they will last for a long time. My only complaint is that no matter how much you dial back the coarseness of the salt and pepper, it still comes out a little more coarse than I would like. I hardly push down the button and It shoots out a lot of salt too, making things a little too salty. It does not work as well as my manual grinder, but for a push button deal, I guess it is not bad, time will tell!

I have always been a fan of the automatic pepper and salt mills, but was too cheap to buy the more expensive brands. Usually I have found great quality in some of the cheaper brands on Amazon, but this one was not the case.Before I got through using my first load of salt and pepper, both mills broke in the same spot. I did not mistreat the mills, or drop them, just a simple falling over on their side on the counter was enough to destroy them. Each broke on the top metal section, the glue that was brilliantly chosen to hold the most used section of the device together, apparently was so brittle it fell apart. Upon examining, instead of gluing around the entire edge of the cylinder, they instead just put 2 dots on both sides and called it good.My attempts at super-gluing it back together has left me with a barely working product, and a jerry-rigged contraption in my otherwise nice kitchen. I am looking forward to replacing them.

These were a gift to my wife. One works, one doesn't. Return period wasn't long enough, as I did not use them enough to realize there was a problem. Now I've got one that works, and one that is a paperweight.If the seller is willing to work with me despite my being over the return period I will happily change this review. If they don't, well my review is an honest one on the product I received.

Operates adequately, but no instructions; it was difficult to figure out how to open to install batteries and salt/pepper.

I love using theses salt and pepper shakers. They are sleek and attractive and look great on my counter. A press of the button and out comes the pepper or salt. It is a delight to use them for all my seasoning. I plan to buy them for each of my daughters. Treat yourself.

These are very pretty; I like having them on my countertop. There is a light that shines when the motor is running, so that you can see what you're seasoning better, which is a nice touch. The motor is a little slow - one of my recipes calls for a tablespoon of fresh ground black pepper and it takes a few minutes to get that much - but it also seems strong enough to get the job done regularly and last a long time. The chambers for the salt and pepper are small and difficult to fill, and I don't like that they each take four AA batteries. Also, I would have preferred if they had come with a cover or tray of some kind, since salt or pepper grains will collect on the counter under them. But for the price, they're fine and get the job done.

Mine unfortunately had a design flaw, which means I have never been able to use them. The locking mechanism doesn't work and every time I wanted to lift one of them, the bottom piece either fell off or felt very flimsy. I am sure they would have replaced the set, but I missed the according deadline, so I want to caution you to take immediate action, should the same happen to you.
