Martin Furniture Open L-Desk, White

I searched for days for the right desk for my home office, since I work from home. I contemplated every desk in the $300 - $500 range, but negative reviews for those desks made me cautious. Although this desk was a little outside my price range, it has been so worth the money. I could not be happier with my purchase. This is the perfect desk. I assembled it myself in about an hour. Assembly is extremely easy, but the boxes are very heavy. A second person is only needed to move boxes into the room you want it in and flip the desk over once it is assembled. The desk is very heavy, sturdy and high quality. It looks extremely nice and feels extremely nice. I have so much leg room, it's crazy. I was originally looking for something that had more storage, but I'm glad I didn't. This desk is basically one of my prized possessions now and I love working from it everyday.

Loved how easy to assemble and great quality. Love everything it had two drop down keyboard drawers and 2 nice drawers. The tip is a gorgeous light gray almost a herringbone pattern on top and the off white legs with black iron make room feel light,yet plenty of room for multiple monitors and still room to work . Also has a plug center very convenient. Very happy with purchase.

This desk fit my needs perfectly. It looks nice, but it doesn't look massive in small room. The open legs make it look smaller than it actually is, which was what I wanted, but the surface area is exceptional. It is heavy, but that makes it very sturdy with NO wiggling. The right-hand side drawer has plenty of room for a Microsoft Natural keyboard and a mouse with about 5" left over. Originally, I thought the two outlets and USB charging ports were wasted space, but I have become very glad to have them.

I love the shape of the desk and like the look. However the quality is not that great I have had this desk for 2 months and the finish is peeling and the handles do not stay on. One of the drawers does not open and close properly either.

Made of cheap compressed paper and wood cant even hold up to being shipped. Obviously cheaply built

We received this desk a day before the original, anticipated date. It was easy to schedule the delivery with the shipper. The desk came in two very heavy, well-packed boxes. All of the pieces were in perfect condition. It was easy to assemble with two people. It took us about an hour to put the desk together. It looks great! I recommend this desk.

Everything about this desk is great - the look is true to pictures, size was exactly as billed and it is very high-quality, especially for the money. I looked long and hard and considered many more pricey options, but am so glad I went with this one.

In almost every way this is a great desk. Solid and easy to put together. I did almost kill myself taking the parts out of the box on my own, but I was too impatient to wait for help. You will need a person to help flip the main desk over as well as a person to hold the return when attaching. All parts came well packaged. To all those talking about a space or uneveness when you attach the return, just loosen the bolts a smidgen and then reposition and tighten. I had the same problem but with a few tweaks, its perfect.The reason for the 4 stars--the top of the desk is painted veneer. I was aware of this when purchasing but since the rest of the desk was wood, I felt ok giving it a try since all wood desks don't exist or are $$. The paint had already chipped off a corner when I took it out if the box. One week later the paint at the edge of the top is starting to chip as well where my chair bumps it. For the cost, I would have hoped to have the desk looking nice for longer than a few days. Martin furniture customer service is great though...I called and they are sending me touch up markers for the top and bottom.Update: after a little over 3 months giant pieces of the gray paint are peeling off in areas that aren't generally touched. The touch up marker from the manufacturer is frankly terrible. It doesn't cover and easily wears off. I had comes to grips with the fact that the edge was just going to be rubbed off, but now there are giant patches of white showing. This was a fairly expensive desk so I am not thrilled.
