Good book on a pleasant hobby
Anyone my age who grew up building models eventually wants to build done from scratch and without preformed pieces. Building half hulls is an art that comes from the industry of ship building and a great way to spend a cold winter's night. I recommend this book for your boating library.

A good guide
Since the 50's have carved a few half models. It was interesting to see the differences in methods. A lot of the models I carved were free form, that is there were no model or plans. The shape came from my mind. Otherwise the methods and techniques follow the way I do models.

More of a pamphlet than a book but it has all the needed info to create a half model without any of the BS on tools, safety, shop layout that so many books use as filler. Highly recommended.
