Overall a good boot, get the wide or go a half-size higher than normal.
Overall, a good buy. Went safe and ordered the EW version in my size, and glad I did. While the ankle opening area is wider than I expected (almost wide enough to slip my foot in without undoing the zipper), the toe area is fairly narrow. I ordered a 9.5, but the toes feel like they're almost in a 9. Usually this isn't the case when ordering a 2E (2x-wide) version, I certainly wouldn't have expected from what's supposedly a 3E (triple-wide?). I wasn't crazy about the finish of the boots as shipped. Kind of a velvety-suede soft leather feel. The second you touch anything with them, you'll get a light-colored scuff mark in the leather, making them basically useless if you want them to look nice for more than an hour. (What's the point of boots that can't be used as boots?) However, cleaned up with some boot cream and polished, they look far better - a shinier darker finish, and protected from minor scuff marks. Test your polish on a small area first, of course - I recommend using the pull-strap - to make sure you like the outcome before applying to the entire boot. Construction seems solid. Time will tell, but the uppers are quite sturdy feeling leather, with good lining (maybe even too much lining for hot weather). The insoles are good, and I'm usually picky about comfortable insoles. Rubber outer soles and heel are quite sturdy rubber - I don't imagine you'll need to replace these before the boots unless you're dragging your heels while riding a motorcycle.

I love them.
First let me say I love the boots. They are very high quality and well built for the money. I have wide tall feet, that are very wide across the base of the toes (knuckles?) I normally wear anything from a 9 1/2 wide to a 10 1/2, 11, depending on the style, type and brand of shoe/boot. I bought the 10 extra wide based on the size chart and info given. The boot fits great in every way except the right at the base of my big toes the boot is a little tight. Each time I have worm them they get a little better as a good leather boot should. If I wasn't so stubborn I might take them in for stretching just at that spot. That is the ONLY, I repeat ONLY concern I have had with the boots, and I only mention it for those that may have the same trouble I do buying shoes that fit. Otherwise the size chart was a great help and these boots are fantastic.

Size ran smaller
Boots seemed fine, but fit smaller than the size I normally wear. Next larger size not available.

Fit, size, color & finish, & overall construction - as initially ordered & received.
I just received my Dingo zip-side Western boots. >> I ordered the brown pair. Note: the color, as I received, is darker & looks more gray/brownish. No big deal, but different than seen on the advertising page. >> Also, the finish on the leather is not smooth or glossy - it is more of a fine brushed surface. Again, not objectionable - just different than I expected. I am going to purchase some boot mink oil to further condition & protect the surface finish. >>. I normally wear a size of 11-1/2 or 12 in athletic or dress shoes, depending on brand. Observing the previous purchasers comments - I ordered size 11's, and they feel to be of a proper fit. The boot seems well constructed, and the side zipper is of a robust nature.

I got screwed
These boots were nowhere close to being correctly sized. Way too big both in length and width. I returned them in unused condition, except for being tried on, and in perfect condition. I got screwed out of $65 for alleged damage. Such damage was non-existent. This is just plain wrong. If I could give zero stars I would. Not sure how to even get a remedy for this. Guess I am going to have to eat it..not happy. Bet this fors not get published
