This item came broken and is not eligible for return. I have only had it for less than a week, plug it in, and the LCD screen is broken. No signs of it broken when the power is off. NOT ELIGIBLE FOR RETURN? Are you kidding me? It came broken!UPDATE:Amazon refunded the entire amount of my purchase. I purchased another one and it works great.

Why are rackmount UPS so much more expensive than desktop/tower?! Same batteries and guts, the cost of the chassis can’t be that much different...That said, it does an excellent job at what it’s supposed to, cover the gaps between the grid and generator for the entire rack.* Update August 2022 *Just received my first battery failure warning, and doing the replacement. The unit has done a great job handling about 3-4 power outages and countless temporary brown-outs. Wish the batteries lasted a bit longer, but relatively cheap if you just replace the batteries.

UPS power supplies are just supposed to work. Purchased in Sep '19 and it worked fine for just under 9 months. It suddenly stopped providing power (under AC power or battery). Screen went blank and it was unresponsive. Contacted tech support and they asked if I recently changed either USB or ethernet cable (seems they have a known failure mode), which I did not. They immediately shipped a replacement. Upon power up I was greeted with a self test, then the smell of burning electronics, then another unresponsive unit. I just sent tech support another email and requested a full refund as I won't waste my time with another replacement. Great, thanks Schneider for wasting my valuable time with your crappy product. Your company won't see another penny from me.

We have dirty power that blinks often. This has resolved most of our issues and just works. We don't have to think about it or worry. It's heavy though. so think about that for your install.

THIS UNIT IS HEAVY!!My company uses these APC 750's and 1500's in many locations (hundreds). They are OK, in a relative sense. If you understand that this is only how far battery backup evolution has gotten, you won't be terribly disappointed. But if you realize that this is, in my opinion, nothing more than a few lawnmower batteries packed tightly inside a metal case, with some supporting electronics and a fancy display, you'll see that you're only buying a few minutes of up-time upon power failure, and reliability of these devices has proven to me to be equal less than that of the desktop PCs we use in these locations. They're not as reliable as the Cisco switches they are typically powering, routinely failing (about one per week out of the hundreds - about 1% per week) out in the field. They certainly don't last more than about 2-3 years, even in an office environment.With that said, it's not always the units themselves that fail. The batteries are among some of the worst I've ever seen for reliability and longevity. Some even bulge and breakdown, rendering the unit bad. So, to reprise: Old battery technology, new display and new case.

Purchased a refurbished 1500 UPS last year. Batteries are failing but InStock is honoring the 1 year warranty and shipping them ASAP! I appreciate the prompt response and service they provide! Will buy from them again. Thank you!!!!!

This is my third one of these units and they are great. I have been using APC SmartUPS for 20 years and have never been disappointed. They have saved me numerous times. I particularly like the readout on this model that tells you the battery strength and when to replace the battery. Great feature.

It does what it is supposed to do (so far).
