Not meant for archival settings
The unit claims to produce TIFF files but it natively captures in MJPEG format and then allows you to export a "TIFF" file. It's not possible to image to a lossy format and then try to upconvert to a lossless format. If you try, you'll immediately notice signal noise, artifacting and some fringing. Will likely work for other use cases but not for true archival digitization.

A great book scanner, once you learn the user interface
I received my CZUR M3000 Pro scanner right before Christmas. The packaging was extremely secure. The set up was quite easy. The user interface is not exactly intuitive but once you figure out how to scan and save your files the results are accurate and readable. Page straightening is surprisingly good. There can be glare challenges with glossy paper so some adjustments are needed using the auxiliary lighting. The finger tools sort of “disappear” when scanning a book (two-page scanning) but with one-page scanning they don’t even pretend to remove them. The manual is not very helpful but there are a couple of videos on Youtube that show how to scan but not how to use all the features. The scanned images, both color and black and white are amazingly accurate (and accurately show any flaws or creases in the original pages). I have scanned some very old, discolored pages and they are a challenge to correct for color but end up turning out quite readable. File handling is not intuitive (and apparently not documented) but after experimenting, I have learned what I need to be productive. All in all, I still think this is a great book scanner for my needs.

Software is buggy
The media could not be loaded. The Czur scanner itself, seems to work fine, but the software is super buggy to the point of really being more of an inconvenience than a help. It will freeze randomly. I've been working with mine for 2 hours this morning and have had to force close and restart the software 12 times. It's not even the same issue, it's lots of different ones. I've been communicating with support (based in China btw so all responses take about 12 hours minimum to get back) and sending logs for 3 months. It's actually gotten worse in that time. I'd recommend ANY other scanning company if you need to use your equipment professionally. In an 8 hour day, I typically lose a minimum of 1 full hour every single day. That adds up fast. Every 8 days, I lose an entire day of production, which is costing me about $500 every 8 days. Turns out a free phone app does just about as good of a job scanning with no issues too. So there's my input.UPDATE: After 4 months of sending log files, videos, screenshots, etc... Their support informed me that they could not recreate ANY of the issues I am having. I've tried different scanners (same model) and different laptops. The issues are consistent to the software. I highly recommend at least finding a product with better support.

CZUR M3000 PRO Professional Book Scanner'
The scanner came well packed - very easy to assemble and start scanning. The setup was fairly fast. So far I was able to scan one book with it.I still don’t know how to use it all -I do wish that the films were a little more informational.Although a little expensive - it got the job done easily.
