KCD900 K Custom Dark Cymbal Pack

I like these a lot. They quickly became my 'gig' cymbals. Was reluctant to buy cymbals in a set again since I wasn't really happy with the K Sweet pack I bought previously but these sound very good to my ear. 16 crash is gorgeous. 20 ride is very nice and I can tell will only get better with time. While the 18 certainly isn't my go-to crash, it makes a real nice bashy washy ride. Have used New Beat hi hats for almost 50 years and been happy with them. These dark hi hats are a different flavor but I quickly became very fond of them.

All I can say is Wow! After replacing my old cheaper cymbals (camber ride, avanti hats, and zildian zht fast crash) with this delightfully shimmering and beautiful set of K's, I have to first say that the 20'' is the most pleasing ride I have ever heard! The 16 and 18 crash also sound marvelously wonderful, while the hats are a great combination of cutting chick and dark smooth rolling tone. I honestly can't wait to record with these after listening to them live. Definitely worth shelling out the cash if you have it.

Great set of cymbals. Im a worship pastor at a church and our old cymbals were very harsh sounding and we had a very difficult time controlling the sound. These produce a much warmer sound and don't bleed into the vocal miss near as much. They are a little on the expensive side but were worth the money to be able to control the overall drum volume.

As a portable church, we bring in different drummers with their own gear. One drastic inconsistency was their cymbals and the tones from them. For worship, we did some research, sought the advice of our drummers (many of which are professional-level musicians). We landed on this solution. For the money and simplicity of a pack for worship in an environment that needs some sound control, these are PERFECT and have greatly benefitted our overall​ sound in worship.

Very Nice, I also have Custom A's which have a bright loud sound, the Custom K's are mellower but still sound great!

The cymbals are expensive, but they do what we needed them to do. We ordered them because our church is in a very reflective room, and our bright, cheap cymbals were hurting everyone's years. We bought this set and have been playing them with a set of hot rods, and everyone is loving the sound in there now!

Love these cymbals. Nothing bad to say. Anyone that wants a great set should know these are awesome

Als langjähriger und bisher immer zufriedener Zildjian Nutzer habe ich dieses Set erworben, da der Sound dem Stil eines neuen Projektes am ehesten entspricht. Doch nach nur wenigen Monaten zeichnet sich nun ein äußerst enttäuschendes Bild ab: Sämtliche Cymbals haben an diversen Stellen deutlich erkennbare, silberne Flecken entwickelt. Da sich die betreffenden Stellen überwiegend an den Rändern der Becken befinden, dachte ich zunächst dass es sich um Fettspuren o.ä. der Finger handelt. Jedoch sind viele Spots auch komplett zufällig über das Becken verteilt (auch am Bottom der Hi-Hat zB). Nach näherer Betrachtung stellt sich dann heraus, dass sich das komplette Finish aufgelöst hat. Man möchte meinen, dass das von Zildjian aufgetragene Coating einige Jahre durchhalten sollte?! Unser Proberaum ist keinen extremen klimatischen Bedingungen ausgesetzt noch wurden die Becken behandelt oder sind in Kontakt mit irgendwelchen Chemikalien oder ähnlichem gekommen. In den zehn Monaten seit Erwerb ist das Set vielleicht 30 mal gespielt worden (ich wünschte es wäre häufiger gewesen :)). Alle Becken der Firma Zildjian die ich bisher besessen habe (über Jahre hinweg) weisen keinerlei solcher Spuren auf, nur das hier erworbene Set (sowie zwei zusätzlich gekaufte Splashes aus der Serie). Ob es sich um einen Produktionsfehler handelt oder Qualität für Zildjian mittlerweile keine Rolle mehr spielt; Der Zustand ist nach so kurzer Zeit inakzeptabel. Der zweimalige Versuch (ausführliche Email sowie Webformular in EN, inklusive PDF mit Bildern) der Kontaktaufnahme via Zildjian Support Seite (übrigens auch verlinkt in der Amazon Verkaufshistorie dieses Artikels) schlug komplett fehl, ich erhielt keinerlei (!) Antwort. Nach Recherche habe ich Kontakt mit dem deutschen Vertrieb aufgenommen. Laut diesem handelt es sich „um eine chemische Reaktion verursacht durch Schweiß“, eine Aussage die ich äußerst unbefriedigend finde (insbesondere da ich beim Spielen weder vor Schweiß triefe noch das Set seit zehn Jahren besitze). Denn wenn es ausreicht (wie im Falle des unteren HH Beckens) ein Cymbal nur wenig anzufassen um derartige Veränderungen auszulösen, dann lässt mich das rat- und fassungslos zurück. Lange Rede kurzer Sinn: Die Qualität dieser Serie scheint - zumindest bei meinem Set - unterirdisch zu sein, so leid es mir tut, ich rate von einem Kauf ab!

Cymbals arrived early in a branded box. Really pleased with them. Looking to using them shortly. Much better than my last experience in August 2022.

At first I couldn't relate much to the sound but slowly, i started to love the cymbals, they have a good dimension to them, i play in small concert halls, like churches and stuff and they fit well with my set up. *But remember to note my first comment.

I absolutely love the way my cymbal set is sounding!!! I researched cymbals from Istanbul Agop & Mehmet, Bosphorus, Meinl, Zildjian, Sabian, Paiste, and many smaller companies for a few years before deciding which cymbals to go with. I've learned that although many drummers love one cymbal company and hate another, most have amazing cymbals that will suit your style if you just look for a bit. My whole cymbal set is slightly deeper sounding than the demos online which is exactly what I wanted, and at a price of $879.32, I simply could not pass up this opportunity for one of my top cymbal choices. I will update if anything goes wrong, such as cracking, as I have not yet broken a cymbal in my 30 years of playing.
