So you're making a grilled cheese sandwich and it comes time to flip said sandwich...what ALWAYS happens? Do you execute a perfect Mel's Diner style flip or do you make a total mess of it? If you are like me, you always make a total mess of it, and that is why you need this product. Westmark has joined two spatulas together to make the ultimate sandwich flipping accessory. It works perfectly. It is the correct size for sandwich bread, grips tightly (but not so tightly that you squeeze the cheese out of the sandwich) and is made of a sturdy plastic (for the spatula part) and sturdy steel for the clip portion. It has little finger sized depressions on the handle to give you more control. These guys thought of everything, and they even give you a little red slide to keep the spatula held closed when not in use. Sure, the problem this ingenious little product solves is a first world problem, but anything that makes our lives just a little easier should be celebrated, even if just in an Amazon review. At $16.99, is it a bit expensive? Well, probably. You can find similar products on Amazon for much cheaper, but I always avoid the alphabet-soup named Chinese brands when I am buying kitchen accessories because quality control is usually poor with those brands. This spatula is made by Westmark in Germany and German companies are known for their quality culinary products. If you, like me, have spent countless minutes cursing and cleaning up after once again failing to flip a grilled cheese sandwich (yes, I have tried the plate method and every wrist twist that exists), get this Westmark Double Spatula and flip like the wind!

I have dexterity issues so I got this to have better control of taking something out of a hot pot. I just cooked a frozen chicken in the slow cooker and of course it was cooked until falling off the bone. I was able to get all the pieces of chicken out to remove the skin and bones. After stock was poured out there were no big pieces of anything left in the bottom. Looking forward to using it to take the ravioli out of the pot. Worked exactly as it should. Really like this.

I purchased this to replace scissor-type tongs to use for flipping tortillas in the pan when I make enchiladas. This works perfectly - I was able to slide the bottom side under the tortilla, close the top, and flip it without any corners putting holes in my tortillas.

Not exactly what I was looking for, but they are exactly as pictured. I have previously been able to get double spatulas that aren't connected and fit together 'facing' one another (vs these that nest). You can separate them, it's not easy and you won't get them back together easily. Which for me seems to be a cleaning issue, the quality of the product is good...just not what I wanted.

This is a basic double spatula and will be good for flipping grilled sandwiches, which is why I bought it. Limited alternative uses. Can't handle heavy foods or large items.

I love to make grilled cheese, and sometimes load them with turkey, fried green tomatoes, avocados, and today I wanted to try a fried egg.Today I was able to gently flip a fried egg to not break the yolk, then carefully flip the grilled cheese too.They aren't too large so they fit in the drawer without clutter, the surface is thin but sturdy, so I can slip underneath the food without pushing it all over the pan.So far so good these are exactly what I was looking for!

They seem flimsy, but when you press it together it becomes stiffer so don't be afraid to clamp down. They slide under things fairly easy and are becoming my go to spatula, but are not for everything. I bought another cause whenever I find something I like they seem to dissappear.

I had terrible problems turning over hash brown patties because I have arthritis in my wrists. This wonderful unit keeps them from falling apart. And, it was SO inexpensive. Buy it. Please.
