A Rare And Wonderful Product!
This little mechanical pencil is SO FABULOUS, I am, for a number of years, a repeat-buyer of them. I love miniature, compact, lightweight minimalist things, so this really fits my lifestyle. It is the length of a credit card, and comes with a credit card-sized plastic card that has a storage slot along the top for storing the pencil (or the matching 0.5mm needle-point ball point pen you can also buy). For those who feel the pen or pencil is a bit if a challenge to hold on to while writing, not to worry, you can write with it still in the card, which addresses any hand fatigue issues. For the pencil, you can buy standard .5 lead refills, and high polymer leads are best. For the pen, you can buy the “Minimo pen refills” online. So far, I haven’t seen these for sale in regular stores. I have bought all of these from Jet Pens.com (Japan), Amazon, and eBay so far. The pen writes smoothly without skipping or scratching. I suggest using quality paper, as loose-pressed, slivery paper gets fibers up into ball point tips, clogging them up. My favorite paper for writing on it the hard-ironed stuff like art paper tablet sold for artist doing marker and ink artwork. That surface is so smooth it’s hard to stop your hand from caressing it. It feels polished, yet absorbent to ink, yet doesn’t bleed. I am a precision artist, so these things make a bug difference to my work. This pen and pencil allow me to carry something lightweight and non-bulky along in case I want to work on the spur of a moment. I really wish with all of my heart that they would make a .2 or .25 needlepoint refill, but honestly, this .5 does seem to write a finer line than the standard .5 pen tips in the office supply stores, so, maybe they actually are finer already. I have a fascination for a very fine, smooth line of ink, like the obsolete .18mm tip that has now gone off the market. I wrote an 8-letter word on a grain of rice with that one! Come-on, Jet Pens, bring it back!! It would be so great in this pen! I am thrilled though, to at least have these things we do have. This Minimo design, I would love to get a bio on the person who thought of and developed it. Give us the bios. Give us the stories, give is the histories! I love hearing an invention story. And please, let us help brain storm ideas, because I have other things I want that don’t exist yet, like a 7+color needle point (.25) multi-pencil and/or multi-pencil that does NOT have yet another round cartridge body, but rather, a triangular* cartridge body, so that it is easier to hold on to. Note that I know they can make tiny inserts like the Minimo, I know that this can be done. “Ohto”, the brand of the Minimo design, how about you beat China to the invention of this product and others? Why stop at the credit card pen & pencil? This is excellent in quality and workmanship. I truly hope you’ll keep building on this. Truly.

Nice pencil to keep in your purse.
I did not fully read description and this is a smaller in length and of course thinner pencil. Nice for your purse.

Perfectly Tiny
Amazing find - a perfect emergency pencil to keep in my small purse calendar (which is in a checkbook cover). Because it is metal, it does not feel fragile. It works and writes good, like a normal mechanical pencil. It just feels funny to hold.. because it's shockingly tiny, and cute.

Perfect for wallet or card carrier
Purchased a different color from another listing. Adding review to share my experience.Yes, it's small! No, it is not a gag-gift as mentioned in another review here. This is a fully functional ballpoint pen based on standard D1 refills. The pen is miniaturized to perfect fit into a wallet or card carrier. The pen is supplied with a transparent card -- this is the pen holder. Put the entire contraption into your wallet or card carrier. You now have pen whenever you need one.Enjoy.

WITH ME 24/7
I ABSOLUTELY ADORE MY OHTO MINIMOs!!!!!Great design!Clicks and Writes perfectly! Bottons work just like a regular pen and the pink color is so pretty! It's Light Weight enough to hang around my neck, yet Sturdy enough not to break or bend while using and wearing it like a charm every day, every where. Is just long enough to fit comfortably in my hand with the mental comfort THAT I HAVE A RELIABLE PENCIL AT ALL TIMES. I have short term memory impairment so if I don't write it now... I don't remember it later. This is why I keep this pencil with me ALL DAY EVERY DAY! I tried so many regular sized pens and pencils... clunky... lost them... took them off or out of my pocket annoyed by them. BUT THIS PENCIL... I LOVE SO MUCH!!! I Love it so much I bought the matching pen. I also fashioned a little eraser topper for it (in my photo).Di$abled, I can't afford much, but this pencil was on my financial level.Thank you Seller, for offering this great product at such a kind price!!!

Tiny but very handy!
I use these little pens and pencils in my cell phone cases and the pencil handles one (minor) issue with the pens. Since it has a tiny (but standard size) lead instead of an ink cartridge, it will write more easily on paper that has a little hand oil on it from being handled. I've used these for years and they are incredibly well-made of metal, and the only problem (which you adapt to) is that they're small and easy to lose. Get a brightly colored one to ease locating it.
