Milwaukee Electric Tool GIDDS2-2475506 Step Drill Bit, 3/16" to 7/8"

The drill cuts steel quickly and cleanly. The drill is well made, easy to use and sharp This is my go to drill for any project.

Works well and has helped with several jobs needing to up size holes.

Cuts through metal likes it's nothing. It has a good weight to it and the cutting edge is very good. It goes through 3/8 thick metal with a pilot hole no problem. Ive gotten several uses out of it and can't see any wear on the cutting edge yet.

Good quality the name says it all. Very sharp.

Added a soft starter to my outdoor AC unit and it was too big to fit inside the unit. Needed to punch a hole in the metal to run the wiring from the outside to the inside to connect to the contactor and capacitor. I was dreading cutting a hole in the side that would allow water to get into the unit or worse off slide around while drilling and damage the coil or the wiring inside the unit. This Milwaukee stepped bit was extremely sharp and cut through like butter in the exact spot I wanted it I was able to easily stop drilling at the precise time so that the strain relief fitting would fit very snug and not allow for water to get inside the unit. I would not have been able to do it without this bit. Now that I own one of these bits I feel more confident on taking on projects around the house knowing that it is very sharp and easy to control to the exact hole sized needed.

This is awesome used one time on drilling a tailgate, can hardly tell it was used so much better than that harbor brand

Cut 14 predrilled holes to 3/4 from 1/4 no problem. Nice cutting speed and cut the last one as easy as the first. I used some rapid tap cutting fluid while making my hole. Tried another brand and it broke on first try

Expensive but very good quality. Don't buy cheaper unless you're prepared for breakages.

This is not cobalt as stated! I should of done my homework, it is okay for mild steel but don't expect to use it on hard materials, unfortunately I opened it before checking the cobalt content, very disappointed. Will buy from somewhere else that knows what the products are that they are selling!
