I am a seventy year old pensioner and buy these glasses all the time because they are better than my reading glasses. The depth of field is deep meaning everything is it focus up to three feet away. The LED light is excellent and very useful. I also wear these in DIY mode and again the light is extremely useful leaving my hands free. A little advice when recharging the battery leave on charge for 60mins max otherwise you could recharge and damage the battery. I would recommend this product and also buy from Amazon it's cheaper than your local shop.

These JML magnifying glasses do the job but the light stops working after a while. I have now purchased several of these glasses, but the fragility appears to be on the arm in which the light is installed. This arm carries the internal wiring for the rechargeable light and on one of my most recent purchases the left hand arm is stiff and will no longer close, so that you are left with a pair of glasses that you cannot close when not in use. My overall impression is that they are OK-ish but not worth the price paid.

The magnification is second to none. Fit nicely on face but wouldn’t fit over glasses. Side lights helpful and easy to charge. My only criticism is that they only lasted 2months before handles broke. Been debating whether to buy again but original cost of £20 and now reduced cost of £15 makes this an expensive option especially if they break so easily so may just stick with magnifying glass or take a handles off broken ones and balance on nose to read/magnify labels.

I’ve now owned 2 pairs of these glasses, both pairs have totally disintegrated even though I’ve been extremely careful with them. The arms separate into 2 pieces, and the ball joints at the end are so poorly made that they break very easily. The lens also broke into 2 pieces on the second pair which I have only had for 6 months. They are made of terrible quality plastic. Surprisingly the lights still work, but that’s no good when they are in bits. The concept of these glasses is brilliant, but they just never last. I’ve bought cheaper versions and they are even more poorly made if that seems possible. I would happily pay 3 times the price if they were much better made.

I was in two minds about trying these as some reviews were saying they don’t fit over prescription glasses. I had no problem fitting them over, even bearing in mind I have my quite thick framed glasses and a headband behind my ears. They are a bit weird when you first try them on because you can’t see around the room with them on, they are meant for close up work etc. I find them perfect because I wear distance contact lenses most days so struggle to read small print, this enlarges and clearly defines everything to a crisp finish. With my glasses on, again more for distance vision, they work perfectly. Night time in bed, when you have weary eyes and cannot sleep, but don’t want to wake your partner by turning the lamp on to read, the built in light is genius. Rechargeable by usb, comes with lead and storage pouch. Definitely my best purchase in a long time.

The lights on this stopped working only a few weeks after buying this so these are now just rather expensive magnifiers. Very disappointing
