Good meter, great price
Works great. Clearly displays the voltage on my golf cart. I changed from the older-style battery meter that had 6-8 led’s that lit up to show the charge level, which was rather inaccurate.I don’t really like the way the number drops with this one as soon as you step on the gas pedal, but I guess that makes it instant read. According to the forums, in order to get an accurate reading, the batteries need to rest for a few minutes after you stop driving. As this happens, the voltage in the batteries will creep up to their actual level and display on the meter. I’m pretty sure all golf cart voltage meters of this style are like this, I just wish there was a meter that automatically leveled out the spikes and valleys of the voltage. This way you could read a fairly accurate voltage while you were driving.Anyway, good meter, and at an excellent price.

can't read in sunlight
came and did exactly as I intended to do. BUT!!! didn't think that the sun would bleach out the numbers and make it hard to read. Meter worked great, had to add extra wire, it reads true voltage and yes the voltage drops while you are running the cart.......DUH! Personally, I liked seeing the voltage drop under different loads. Eventually I got used to where the batteries were happy and not. My only problem was reading the display during day light...and I added too much extra wire, left it in the battery box wrapped up, it made its way out of the box and found the front tire.....no guage worky no more. I think red would have been better for sunlight but I can't find any the same dimensions.

NOT VERY BRIGHT OR ACCURATE
Meter is difficult to see in daylight (not just bright sun) and it consistently reads 1/2 a volt low so you need to remember that 36.0 on the meter is really 36.5 at the battery terminals. My wiring is brand new home-runs from the battery terminals directly to the meter, so certainly not line loss.Probably worth what I paid for it, but not much more.

Nice and Bright... Not Accurate.
Very easy install on my 02 EZGO TXT 36V. I hooked mine up to key switch. Works only in Forward and Reverse position with Key on. Volt accuracy is off by .6 volts on my particular gauge. This will be fine for now. Good to know how much it is off though. I think I'm just going to buy a small and cheap multi meter with an off switch and mount it in the glove box area and wire it straight to the battery. I believe most multimeters are going to be more accurate than any Gauge or Meter I've seen online for golf cars, 36v or 48v. I would still recommend this product. Just check accuracy so you know.

Not worth the time or money
Husband has been an automotive mechanic and engineer for most of his life. This should be a no brainer, but the product is poor quality does not function as it should and is a total waste of time. Spent most of an afternoon checking ever possible wiring configuration to make this gauge work. Anything greater than 12v the gauge fails to display. Adding wire to reach the sequence of batteries to the dash fails to display anything although our volt meter reads 36v fully charged. Will count our loss for cheap price generally means cheap product, going to invest in a reliable meter.

Only reads 12.6 volts
Brought this back in July, but waited until November to have a friend (who knows exactly how) to install it. After installing the gauge would only read 12.6 after a full (overnight) charge. My friend has installed many gauges for other people as well as his own and also does other work on golf carts so I know he knows what he's doing. To late to return it so I'll have to order a different brand

Excellent visibility even in sunlight
Got this to install on my 36v lawnmower, with the main focus being I wanted to be able to see it easily in direct sunlight. This meter met that requirement well. I 3d printed a gauge pod for it and connected it to the main switch so it's on whenever I'm mowing. The reading was very accurate when I tested it directly on the battery, but there is about 5 feet of wiring between the battery and the switch, plus batter voltage tends to sag when under load. Things to keep in mind if the reading is lower than expected. I used a voltmeter for comparison and the readings matched. Been using it for couple weeks with no issues, should it fail prematurely I'll update this. One last thought I got this one because many of the fancier ones had a note about avoiding exposure to direct sunlight, seems the LCD type displays have issues if they get hot. Depending on what you plan to use a meter on it may not matter.

very accurate readings, even down to 1/10th of a volt. I compared this to a $300.00 Sencore DVM and the readings were the same.
