Kaico GameCube HDMI Adapter for Nintendo GameCube DOL-001 with GCVideo

From what I have tested it seems to function perfectly well. No dramas at all. If you have a first generation gamecube with a digital port I would recommend. looks great on my projector, just plug and play. It comes with a USB cable, this is NOT for power, like some other upscalers, it's just for updating it via pc if you need to. Overall very happy, very affordable as well.

I bought my wife a GameCube and her fave games from the past for her Birthday. Using this GameCube adaptor made the games SO SO much clearer and much more how they used to look all those years ago. We have a 2026 LG 4k OLED TV and it had no other way of connecting except HDMI and even with a generic AV to HDMI upscaler it was so blurry. So decided to try this Kaico GameCube adaptor for £65.00 and was so glad we did! As default it displays in full wide-screen and looks really good! We changed it back to a square screen simply so it was more like the original but it looks clear and crisp in either mode. I've not played around with the settings on the remote, I've just left as default as it looks great! Honestly if you are wanting to play Nintendo GameCube on a modern TV this is the thing to buy. It's worth the higher price than some of the other cheaper similar ones. Feels well made, very simple to use. Thank you!

Easy to set up and worked on my SKY glass with no issues

Great bit of kit. The Mrs and I thought we’d played Mario Kart Double Dash for the last time. We were wrong!! Just plug it in and leave on the default settings. There’s an extra bit of plastic that comes in the box, it’s a support to hold the upscaler in place. It fits in the vents on the back of GameCube. The upscaler is quite heavy for its size and can put a lot of strain on what is a 20+ year old socket so the support is a nice addition to include. As for power supply, it gets this through the HDMI lead you connect it to the TV with. Very impressed with the graphics quality. OK they’re not exactly PS5 standard, but from a console that’s 20 years old, they’re very good. The games present almost at full widescreen instead of a square picture in the middle of the TV screen. You still have a thin black border all the way around the edge of the screen but you hardly notice once you’re gaming. All in all, well impressed. Might have to look in to a similar version for my PS2 now. My only wish is that now, aged 49 at the time of writing, I could sit on my backside and play games all day like I could when I was 29!!! 😂

You can adjust the picture so it has scanlines, and that makes it look like you're playing on a flat VCR from 2005. The main issue I had is playing Star Wars Rogue Leader, which has a lot of cinematics. The unit would swap picture output each time a cinematic started, but it would have a delay of 0.5s-1s where there would be no picture. This happened over and over on this game specifically, but not on any other games, like Fzero or Mario Sunshine. It also happens when you first launch the gamecube, on the rolling cube screen, but that is negligible. It has a great picture, not as nice as an emulated conversion obviously, but probably the best picture taht can be afforded on the gamecube itself. It's also much cheaper than competitors. One major issue is I think it puts a lot of strain on the Digital AV socket. It's not that light and it has no support. The competitor's more expensive item goes into both Digital and Analogue slots to make it more secure.

Does the job, remote is nice for the built in options.

Possibly, like many people looking at this item for the Game Cube, I'm a massive Zelda fan, and I really wanted to play Windwaker again. However plugging the console into a giant flat screen TV simply did not work - the picture was awful, fuzzy and almost unplayable. But this little plug and play device really has revived the game. The colours and lines are crisp, Links expressive face is crystal clear and mostly the game is an absolute joy to play again. So - you need a Game Cube with a digital output (two outputs on the back) This little device plugs into the digital one and the supplied HDMI runs from from the device to your telly. the whole thing does stick out beyond the carry handle, which I thought would have been the boundary but hey. There is also a remote to fine tune the image. this has come in handy but quite frankly it looks super fine straight out of the box. I know you can get emulators etc but where is the fun in that? The Game Cube is such a sweet little console it really does deserve to be brought back to life so you can replay your favourite games and this little little fella makes that magic happen I've attached a picture not of the item - there's plenty of those for you to see anyway, but of the quality of the image you will get once you plug this item in!!

works perfectly on my lg c1 55 inch tv, amazon sent it in an insufficient packaging as the box was squashed.

一言で言って、本当によい買い物ができました。 いろいろ微調整ができますが、D端子出力プラグに差して起動すれば、特に調整も必要なく本当にキレイに出力されます。 D端子出力なので、ゲームキューブのプログレッシブ出力も可能になり、プログレッシブ出力に対応しているタイトルであればより鮮明に。 もはやD端子入力プラグのないテレビばかりになってしまいましたが、これがあればHDMIを介してプログレッシブ出力が可能になるので、D端子プラグ付きの古いテレビを持ち続けたり、わざわざ買う必要はないですし、 中古でも高くなってしまっている、任天堂公式ゲームキューブD端子ケーブルを買うよりは、もしかしたら、本製品のお値段は張りますが、総合的には、お求めやすい金額で済むかもしれません。 注意点としては、本製品は、本体型番DOL-001のみ対応なので、後発の本体型番だと非対応のようです。 お手持ちのゲームキューブ本体に記載されている型番を確認の上、お求めいただければと思います。 ともかく、キレイな画面で俄然プレイモチベーションが上がって、ガチャフォースがはかどっています！

Der Adapter kann nur an Gamecubes Modell Nr. DOL-001 angeschlossen werden. Das erzeugte HDMI-Bild ist sehr scharf und die Farben sind brillant. Die Bildqualität ist nach meiner Einschätzung sogar besser als bei dem original Nintendo RGB-Kabel. Der Adapter hat viele Einstellmöglichkeiten, die man mit der beigelegten Fernbedienung steuern kann. Bei mir war das Bild aber bereits im Auslieferungszustand optimal und ich habe an den Einstellungen nichts verändert. Es gibt wahrscheinlich keine bessere Möglichkeit, ein HDMI-Bild vom Gamecube zu bekommen. Einziger Nachteil: Der Adapter steht hinten sehr lang aus dem Gamecube hervor und wirkt wie ein Hebel auf die Buchse. Es liegt zwar eine Plastikhalterung bei, mit der man ihn abstützen kann. Aber man sollte trotzdem bedenken, dass man hinter dem Gamecube Platz für den langen Adapter + das eingesteckte HDMI-Kabel benötigt. Das sind mindestens 10cm, die man hinter der Konsole frei haben muss. - Aber nichtsdestotrotz: Die Bildqualität ist perfekt und der relativ hohe Preis ist mehr als gerechtfertigt. Sehr empfehlenswert.

If You play GameCube for nostalgia, or just for fun, this is so worth the buy, you can’t get them cheaper than this. It makes the graphics look as good as your imagination as a child thought they were. It’s a huge difference vs analog inputs blurry display. Plug in and ready to play . Just make sure you have an HDMI cord and Tv compatible. Sound is higher quality as well.
