Couldn't ask for better 10/10
I purchased this because I have a dachshund who developed IVDD and HATES being in a crate. He typically destroys crates in order to get out and ends up further hurting himself. This crate is absolutely Houdini proof. It is not only extremely sturdy but it is well thought out. The top lifting allows you to lift an injured dog without having to maneuver them through the door. It also allows you to attend to them without them trying to escape. The double latches on the side door means that the door is VERY securely closed so he doesn't spend so much energy even trying to escape. The wheels allow the crate to be moved around the house with ease EXCEPT the crate is a bit wide to fit though and interior door while assembled. This is fantastic when you have a recuperating dog that wants to be near you but shouldn't be walking. There is plenty of room for my standard size dachshund to stretch out fully. Truthfully, when they're uninjured, this comfortably holds both of my dachshunds. It would easily accommodate all medium sized dogs. This is a heavy item and, while not difficult to assemble, I do feel that having two people there to put it together is helpful. Overall, this is a heavy duty, fantastic purchase that, when properly cared for, should outlast any dogs lifetime.

SAVED MY SANITY!
Otis is the best escape artist I've ever known. He has EXTREME separation anxiety. I rescued him back in December. His first cage was the typical wire cage which, I THOUGHT, was heavy-duty and sturdy and well-made (which, it was) but I had no idea what Otis was capable of! He completely destroyed the plastic tray at the bottom of the first cage. I was at my wits end with all his escaping and destroying. I came across this indestructible cage, and I read the reviews. Some of them did concern me in that some dogs have still gotten out of this cage and also hurt themselves in the process. But I was so desperate to try to make things work, I ordered it. Once it arrived and I unpacked it, I was a bit confused with it; however, the instructions were good, and I was able to get it put together within 30 minutes. I was impressed with how heavy duty it seemed, and I thought, there's no way he's getting out of this. But I still had my doubts due to some of the reviews and because I know how determined Otis is and how aggressive he is with chewing and destroying things when I'm not there. The next morning, I put him in it and locked it, praying he wouldn't somehow bust through it. When I got home, the apartment was clean, and he was still in the cage! If I'd had champagne, I'd have popped the top and celebrated! Even though it seemed to work the one day, I was still slightly doubtful because it had only been one day. Then, one day turned into a week without any escapes. Now it's been nearly a month, and he WILLINGLY goes in! I think his go-to was/is digging his way out through the bottom. Well, he can't do that with this cage because of how it's designed and because I reinforced it with zip ties which were provided with the cage. And he's tried. Oh, he's tried. I know because there were times his bed was scrunched back from digging. Also, I appreciate the wheels very much! I almost didn't install them because I figured I could slide the cage on the carpet; however, I ended up installing them and was glad I did because it glides across the carpet with ease if I need to move it. While the wheels make it easy to maneuver the cage, the cage is heavy enough that the dog can't move it. (He'd moved his wire cage from point A to point B in escaping). Otis isn't as reluctant and doesn't seem as anxious to get into this cage. Today, I didn't even have to guide him by the collar to get inside. I'm not entirely sure why this is but I'm thankful. Sometimes he'll get all the way in for a couple of seconds and then walk back out while I'm at home, and he didn't do that with his first cage. I'd tried everything I could. He destroyed his first cage. He destroyed the bathroom door and other things in the bathroom when I had to keep him in there during the transition from his first cage to this cage. No matter how bare I left the bathroom, he always found something to destroy. And if there was any way he could escape, he'd do it and create mass destruction. This cage saved my sanity and my dog from being rehomed where he most likely would have ended up back at the pound. TL;DR: Pros: *Extremely sturdy *Solid *Smart design (particularly regarding the bottom of the cage) *Easy to set up *Wheels make it easy to maneuver cage *Excellent for my dog who is an expert escape artist, an aggressive chewer, and leaves mass destruction upon escaping---HE CAN'T ESCAPE THIS ONE! Cons: *I have none! Do I recommend this cage? 1,000%! YES! Do it. Buy it. It'll be worth it.

Very strong crate and the wheels are genius!
Great crate! We have a 105 lb. German Shepherd rescue that has occasional anxiety issues at night. On our previous wire crates, his pushing actually bent the wire and warped the door so badly we needed to replace it. This crate is STRONG and there is no way our dog, despite his strength, can bend the bars. It is slightly narrower than our other wire crates, but he easily turns around in it. It was very easy to assemble, but it did take two people so hold parts still so that the hardware went in straight. I love the wheels! I can reposition the crate easily even with him in it. It looks great but does sort of look like a prison when the crate cover is removed out of the way of the door ;). If you have puppies, the door on top would be a great way to get them in without running out of the front door. Note that if you put the wheels in place, the dog will need to step up into the crate 5 inches. If your dog has mobility issues, I'd keep the crate on the floor to avoid the step up. There is a handy tray under the crate for easy cleaning of messes (for pups or dogs with incontinence problems). Doors open smoothly and are wide enough to let even very large dogs inside with ease. This was expensive, but way cheaper in the long run as it was our second wire crate that he destroyed! He's a great dog, just very strong. If you have a dog like ours, don't hesitate to purchase this.

Good quality and easy to assemble
Very easy and quick setup, seems tough built. Time will tell but I’m pleased with the quality. Best cage for the price IMO 👍 if your dog needs a prison inspired cage this is the one

Good buy
Great crate, good size for my babies(dogs). Love the design! Very easy to assemble. The wheels are perfect to move around to clean underneath. Just need a thicker pad, but so far worth the purchase.

Solid, Well-Built Crate
Worth Every Dollar!! I’m impressed with how sturdy it is. The metal frame feels solid and durable, not flimsy like many others I’ve tried. The door latches securely, and the bars are thick enough to keep any strong dog safely inside. Assembly was quick and straightforward. The design makes it easy to clean, and the open sides keep airflow good so it doesn’t feel cramped. I like the sleek black finish too, it actually looks decent in the room instead of being an eyesore. If you need a crate that can handle an active or large dog, this one’s a great pick. You can tell it’s built to last.

Pitbull proof!
The box this came in was very heavy, but it's because this is a beast of a kennel. My husband put it together easily. Having two locks on the kennel door is nice as or dog slams it. Thought the top opens, it's a bit too tall to really us it to access the kennel, but it is a nice option. The catch tray is really nice to have. It's about 6 inches longer than any dog bed we could find so there is a gap at one end, we got a rectangular dog bed for her. Give it 4 and half stars because there are some very sharp corners. Husband said they could have hit it with a grinder to make them unsharp, but they didn't. Otherwise the finish is nice and has held up to her bar chewing! The wheels are nice as it weighs a lot, and carrying it wouldn't be an option, and I can move it for vacuuming and mopping around it. We feel it's very secure to protect our visitors from our heavyweight pitbull. We would buy again...but this is a very big steel kennel more akin to a zoo cage. You want security for your fur babies this is it!

Works and Acceptable at this Price Point
This crate is much sturdier than the wire crate I previously had that my German Shepherd was able to flip over and bend out-of-shape to escape. After two weeks of use, my dog has been unable to escape this crate. It came packaged really well, but there was still a dent in one of the front-facing bars. Easy assembly, though this crate is so big and heavy it is unlikely I'll be collapsing it often. Things to note: - My dog does not like the wire floor. I wish the plastic tray fit inside the crate rather than under it. I cannot get my dog a bed yet because he keeps tearing up anything I leave in the crate with him. I'm currently using the tray from my old wire crate inside this one so he has something he's more comfortable with. - Only two of the caster wheels lock. I thought all four would be locking. This means my dog can still roll the crate around a bit while inside. - The welds are terrible. Nothing is fully welded, only tacked. Now, a dog shouldn't be able to break a tack weld anyway, and if they do break I can reweld it, but it's something I noticed. Update: July 2025 *Full 5 Stars Now* I've had this crate for years and have packed it up for road trips about a dozen times. It's definitely deformed a bit from assembly/disassembly and being ratchet strapped to the roof of my car, but it continues to hold up. My dog has a room now so I don't have to lock him in here, but he's grown to really like this crate and spends time in it voluntarily. Also, Primo Pads is a great product if your dog tears up beds. I got one for this crate and it's been perfect. You can get custom sizes and they zip tie to the crate. Easy to clean too and more comfortable for my dog than wire mesh.
