Best brace so far I've owned
I just got this brace today and I can already tell there's a difference which is a better difference than the brace that they sent me home with at the hospital. I like the fact that you can move and adjust the bars on the side to the desired area that you need them in for more support. The fact that the locks the brace in place too when you need to stand up is fantastic and I like how it's extra cushion which I think it's going to be an added benefit especially at night being that I have to wear the brace all evening

10/10 - GREAT BRACE
Im very surprised more people dont know about this one! Some background info for consideration: I'm a 30 y/o male. 5'10". 185 lbs. Very active lifestyle with focus in competitive cycling and Soccer. I tore my ACL 2 weeks ago in my right knee. I've torn the one in my left knee 3 times, so I'm well versed in knee-brace game. I did EXTENSIVE research because I got tired of wasting money on crappy braces. A few features about this one caught my eye. I received it today and WOW, I'm impressed. Straight out of the box it feels well crafted & sturdy. Velcro straps are strong. Hinges feel strong. I played with the hinge settings before putting it in and it's very simple to use. I love that you can move the hinges if you need to, via velcro sleeves they're held in. The 'EXT' & 'FLEX' settings allow you to manipulate the range of mobility with ease. The circle push-lock allows you to lock it in place for true knee immobilization. Its fantastic. Once I put it on, I felt it to be comfy and very snug (big thighs from cycling). So someone skinnier may find it to be a perfect fit. I don't mind wrapping extra tight for a tight fit. Once I got it in snug, I set my current range of mobility and gave it a test walk. I can say with confidence it will give amazing stability. I dont feel like jerky or like my knee will give out. My EXT is set at 30 so I have a slight bend at the knee when I walk, which is perfect. So far, I'm very pleased with this brace! I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a brace in the 40-50 dollar range.

Great for the price, but not amazing at preventing knee lockout
For the price it's hard to argue with. However, I bought the brace to prevent myself absent-mindedly locking out my knee, and this brace does a much better job of preventing knee bending than knee extension. I am able, even with pretty draconian settings, to lock my knee out casually. It also fits pretty snug on me despite following the sizing. I don't mind snug but if this brace *almost* fits you, the velcro will not completely overlap, and will dig into your skin, and it is pretty sharp velcro. ***Pros*** Price - About as good as you could ask for for the price. Locking Knee braces can go for $500+, and many of those aren't as good as this one. Preventing Knee Bending - This is solid for preventing contraction/bending of the knee. Lock is Easy to Use - Pretty obvious how the locks work immediately. Light and foldable - packs up easily, thin enough to wear under clothes. ***Cons*** Not Good at preventing Knee Lockout - I found that even when setting the brace to keep my leg at a near 45 degree angle, I can still stand up straight with only mild discomfort. If you are considering purchasing this to help you prevent yourself from casually locking your knee out, I would suggest getting something more heavy duty. Not Super easy get on "right" by yourself - Personally I found it, not exactly hard, but fairly fiddly to get it back on with correct tightness and positioning, without the velcro digging into me. This is probably the case for any velcro or lace based brace, but it is worth pointing out that you may need to put it on and walk around a bit, then adjust multiple times before you get it just right. ***Mixed*** Runs a bit small - I have basically never needed a large in anything, but I am 5'10", 180 Lbs, with fairly muscular thighs, so I got the Large version here according to the listed instructions. The Brace fit below my knee but only barely fit above my knee, with some adjustment though, it does fit. Velcro Discomfort - If the brace fits you but just barely, or you just put it on hastily, the velcro will not fully overlap with its connection... flap. This will cause part of the very sharp velcro strip to scratch your leg. This could be potentially alleviate by wearing it over some tights or something, but I didn't attempt it. ***Conclusion*** Overall I would say if you need to add some medium support, or prevent/restrict knee bending for a limited period of time, or need locking a brace that is easier to travel with, this is about as good as you can do for the money.

Comfortable BUT...does not stay put.
I tore ligaments and the tendons on my knee and needed brace for long term use while everything heals and then while rehabing from TKR and the torn muscles. This brace is very comfortable and easy to put on and adjust but after using it for 2 weeks I find it impossible to adjust tight enough so that it doesn't slip either over my knee cap (best case scenario) or slip completely down to my ankle. The whole thing has stretched almost 3" and I have repositioned the side braces at least 3 times. I keep it tight enough that it creates dents around my knee and leg but it still falls off. It is less problematic with leggings but still does not stay put. I purchased the smallest size and when measuring, I was almost a medium so the sizing was correct. I need to use a brace for another 4 weeks so I will be getting something that is structurally more stable. Good thing this was not very expensive.

Not as advertised
Be very aware: This needs more than one person to attach to leg initially. Lots of velcro involved. The metal joints are in Velcro pockets attached to the main brace with more Velcro. They Stay some what loose. Getting the left and right side joints aligned impossible. The metal joint on inside of leg can hit opposite knee, causing pain in opposite knee. The range locking tabs not easy to use or adjust while wearing. And if your alone , impossible to put on. And the Fabric which is stretchy ,bunches up when applying to knee . I tried 2 different sizes. It seems this was tested for fit on a straight post. and not a human leg which is tapered. A failed product.

Love this brace - it’s very well constructed and does what it says. I currently have it set at no movement of my left knee. Once I start physiotherapy in 4 weeks, I’ll be able to move the dials to allow more flexibility and mobility based on what the physiotherapist recommends. I would buy this product again.

Item looks just as expected. I bought it because I am post surgery from a Tibial Plateau fracture, I also have hypermobility and wanted to make sure I could restrict the hyperextensions while I heal. The metal hinged supports allow some weight to be distributed, taking load off of the knee which is great. The hinges are easy to use. I struggled at first to find a configuration which would prevent my knee from hyperextending. I wish there was a more thorough guide on how to adjust this but this is what I've found... Adjustment tips that worked for me, specific recommendations based on wanting to limit extension: - Turn sleeve around so patella opening is at the back and initial velcro straps are at the front. (another user recommended this) - If you have hyperextension issues, adjust the brace arms to be at -10 when fitting it - Align middle of hinge and arms to the middle of your leg depth wise, might at first look like the brace arms are too far back but trust me, start here. - Affix the metal support arms to the sleeve while you are wearing it. Have your leg straightened as far as it will go, hyperextended if you are trying to prevent that, and make sure the brace angle is at the maximum. So if you hyperextend, have the brace arms hyperextended (-10) - Once metal arms are velcroed to the brace, bend your knee and set how far you really want the extension to stop - Then finish doing up the straps. I find the round of the hinge should not go past your knee. I didn't give it a 5 star because the adjustments of the hinges do not accurately limit extension. My leg is pretty well straight when it is set on angle 60. This again could be user error but as far as I can manage, this is the best fit I've gotten.

I am not a big guy but this brace only just fits my leg. The velcro at the top stabiliser scratches my leg. There is no way to avoid this. It also feels like it wants to slip down no matter how tight I make it. I will be returning this product immediately. So disappointed

I'm not going to lie, at first i saw this product and was a little skeptical, i figured something for this price couldn't possibly work, could it? but it came in early today and I have been wearing all day, my leg feels great, no more giving out randomly to fall to my knees, and it relieves tension on my knee in which i permanently damaged in a vehicle accident years prior. Thank you, very impressed and would 100% recommend for anyone in need of knee support or pain.
