I was a kid during the fifties. My dad was a race fan and he instilled a lifelong interest in me. These cars and drivers were my heroes then. Stirling Moss was my favorite though. This book covers the cars he raced and competed against. The writing is good, but for me the photos are the real gems. I recommend this book if your a fan of the era or just want to learn more about the roots of the F1 championship.

This is a good comprehensive reference work that makes a worthy addition to the serious motor sport collector's library. Data appears to be accurate and well organized and photos are good quality considering their age and source.

Great first book on the history of F1. I wish there were a 1990-1999 book issue too.
