De'Longhi TRNS0808M, Plastic, 800 W White

Storage heaters are great for the coldest parts of winter but late autumn / early spring as the the days are longer and the sunshine warmer and more prevalent - our little property is naturally warm during the day. We recently replaced an aging (over 20 years) large De'Longhi with a new Dragon to use in the evenings and for emergencies if the temperature plummets. We were glad to see the quality was as high as ever for these devices. But then so is the weight. A full size De'Longhi, even with castors, is not something you want to move from room to room on a daily bases. When I saw this little Nano on 60% off, I figure it was worth trying. And by trying, I mean that working out whether a heater is effective seems as much subjective as it is objective. Here's what I know. The bedroom is about 4 by 3.5m on an end gable and semi-insulated - and on a British March day with limited sunshine, outside temperature of about 10oC during the day and 3oC at night and inside humidity of about 60% and no heating - will mean a late evening / early morning temperature indoors of 16 - 17oC. If I put the heater on setting 3 for 1hr - it is raising the temperature to 19.5oC. It's a little warm for the bedroom, but it shows me that given the right conditions this is a very useful little heater. If you're looking for rapid heat - look elsewhere - oil filled radiators heat slowly (about 30mins) but then hold the heat much better than other types. If you like it hotter indoors, then this might not deliver. I find that cold walls, drafty rooms and high humidity cause more problems for our storage heaters / oil radiators than the size of any of our rooms. Is this little power house the solution to a heating problem. I doubt it - but it's definitely part of the solution and a must in our heating toolkit along with a good dehumidifier and those £10 temperature / humidity sensors that we have in most rooms.

I like this little radiator. It's small enough to cover and store away when it's not needed, but it takes the edge off a cold room without worrying about it sending the electricity meter into fast forward. It's getting warmer now , but I ordered mine when it was below freezing but not wanting to put the heating on and just heat where I needed to. At first I didn't think it would make a difference, but I nipped out locally , and left it on . When I came back I was glad that I had because I felt the difference when I got home and went into the living room. I'm disabled with severe mobility issues but I find it easy to move around but sturdy , but discreet enough to throw a dust cover in summer, or store in a cupboard. Handy to have. I bought it when it was on offer and i let my Sister know and she ordered one immediately. Would I buy it again? Yes. Definitely.

Great oil radiator for a campervan on electric hook up. The heat it throws out is very good and soon warms the space up. The thermostat keeps the campervan to an ambient temperature once warmed up temp setting lowered. Safe to leave on overnight on the low/night setting or soon heats up again when switched on in the morning.

Very pleased with this De'longhi 800W oil filled radiator. Don't be fooled into thinking that every 800W device delivers the same level of comfort. The oil in these heaters means that there isn't the peak or trough in the temperature that you get with cheaper oil filled radiators, fan heaters, or convectors. It simply has a "presence" in the room. Every oil filled radiator has an odour for the first couple of hours of use after purchase, this is normal. There's the occasional warm up noise in use, but that's no different from any other heater. You won't regret this purchase, but as always, choose the right size of heater for your room, it won't heat a concert hall, but will keep a well insulated bedroom or average living room cozy.

This Delonghi is a little gem. I am using it for my living room insted of the standard radiator. It is also economical. Very good find.

Fantastic heaters! We use them in the caravan awning and in our lounge at home when we don’t need to heat the rest of the house. We recently had our boiler break down and 3 of them kept the house warm enough whilst we were waiting for the replacement to be fitted.

Acquistato, da regalare, alla cifra di 90€ qualche mese fa come supporto "termico" per la stagione autunno-inverno. Le nuove disposizioni hanno ridotto l'uso dei riscaldamenti (a gas), tradotto: temperature più basse per tutti. Pur aggiungendo golf e calze di lana non tutti stanno bene a 18/19°. Dipende molto dall'età delle persone e dalle condizioni fisiche. Ho atteso un po' prima di recensirlo perché volevo "vederlo" all'opera, direi sentirlo più che vederlo. Non siamo ancora sottozero, ma è stata una scelta azzeccata acquistarlo per tempo. Il costo è un po' più caro rispetto ad altri prodotti, ma li vale tutti. A causa degli aumenti del costo dell'energia elettrica, pura speculazione aggiunta all'inadeguatezza di questa europa con la e minuscola, ho deciso di valutare un sistema di riscaldamento elettrico a basso consumo da integrare al tradizionale. Ero indeciso tra la versione da 500W e quella da 800W. La differenza di circa 10 euro farebbe propendere per quello da 800W. Alla fine ho scelto quello da 800W perché l'altro era terminato. La differenza con quello da 500W è solo nella superficie che si vorrà riscaldare. 800W va bene per stanze più grandi. La potenza è fissa! Ho testato con il contatore della luce, oltre a misuratori di consumo, il reale assorbimento e posso confermare che corrisponde a quanto dichiarato. Lo spunto iniziale fino a raggiungere la temperatura è circa 780W. Ci mette un po' a scaldarsi bene, ma dopo 15/20 minuti diventa caldissimo. Ho provato a misurare la T con una sonda in metallo infilata tra gli interstizi degli elementi raggiungendo una temperatura di oltre 100°C (109,6°C per l'esattezza). Usando invece un termometro laser ho raggiunto circa 88°C, ma bisogna considerare che la superficie riflettente non è idonea alla misurazione laser. ### TEST TEMPI DI RISCALDAMENTO E TEMPERATURE RAGGIUNTE ### 00 minuti - 14:21 - 21°C (781W) 11 minuti - 14:32 - 78,3°C (773W) 19 minuti - 14:40 - 109,6°C (773W) [vedere le foto allegate] Testato in più stanze, riscalda tranquillamente 20mq in poco tempo. Si avverte proprio il flusso termico soprattutto se tenuto vicino. Chiudete la porta ed eventualmente tirare giù la tapparella o chiudete le persiane per eliminare dispersioni. È presente un termostato che si spegne quando la stanza raggiunge una certa temperatura. Se lo mettete a 1 non è che scaldi di meno, ma si spegnerà prima. Messo a 6 resterà acceso per più tempo. Usato come integrazione al riscaldamento tradizionale assolve molto bene il suo compito. Acceso per 30 minuti è sufficiente per scaldare l'ambiente aumentando quel grado in più, anche due, che servono per togliere la sensazione di freddo. Una volta spento mantiene il calore per lungo tempo, proporzionale alla grandezza degli elementi e all'olio minerale in essi contenuto. Facendo una stima dei costi di energia al prezzo attuale folle di circa 0,55€/kWh (in tutela... alla faccia della tutela), con 1 ora al giorno divise in due accensioni mattina e sera, il costo per la stagione più fredda (diciamo 3 mesi) sarà: (800W * 1h *)/1000 * 0,55€/kWh * 90gg = 39,6 € (tasse e oneri esclusi). Al posto di 0,55€/kWh ognuno metta il costo dell'energia del proprio contratto luce. Aumentando il numero di ore ovviamente diventa antieconomico se usato in aggiunta al riscaldamento che già si paga. Diviso in due mezz'ore si ottengono quasi 2 ore di riscaldamento perché il raffreddamento richiede circa 20/30 minuti grazie all'inerzia termica dell'olio minerale. Si può anche aggiungere un timer così da forzare/regolare le accensioni a piacere. Quando il prezzo dell'energia elettrica tornerà come due anni fa (0,069€/kWh), probabilmente mai (visto l'andazzo...), questo De Longhi diventerà molto conveniente poiché avrà un altissimo rapporto prezzo-prestazioni. Due anni fa avremmo pagato circa così: (800W * 1h *)/1000 * 0,069€/kWh * 90gg = 4,97 € (tasse e oneri esclusi). De Longhi suggerisce di non usare una prolunga, ma il cavo non è che sia lunghissimo. Non comprendo il motivo di tale consiglio anche perché se si usano prolunghe idonee, schuko e con sezione dei cavi adeguata, non vedo la differenza tra collegarlo ad una presa a muro derivata da un'altra a fianco oppure attraverso una prolunga che di fatto crea una derivazione esterna di quella presa. Eviterei però le multiprese. Per quanto riguarda l'odore iniziale. L'ho acceso un po', vicino alla finestra aperta. Poi da spento l'ho lasciato fuori (non se la temperatura esterna è troppo bassa) qualche ora. Poi riacceso in casa vicino alla finestra non ha rilasciato un forte odore. Un po' c'è stato, però è andato via in fretta. È bastato cambiare aria qualche volta ed è sparito del tutto. Attualmente, in uso, direi 5 STELLE. Secondo me anche quello da 500W potrebbe andare molto bene visto l'alta resa di questo da 800W.

Asombrada con el radiador, se calienta rápido, lo pongo al 6 y al los 10-20 minutos lo bajo entee 3-4, me lo pongo para teletrabajar cerca de mi, en 10 minutos notas el cambio en habitación de menos de 10m2, pero también lo pongo en el salón que tiene algo mas de 21m2, cerca del sofá cerrando la puerta e igualmente se nota el calorcito! Me compraré el de 500w para teletrabajar pienso que será perfecto para esa habitación porque el que tengo de 800w a los 10 minutos lo tengo que bajar, y una hora y media antes de acabar de trabajar lo tengo que apagar de calor que desprende, aún así sigue proporcionando calor apagado hasta el final de la jornada. Un descubrimiento! De gasto aún no vino la factura, cuando venga pondré si noto mucha subida o no, por ahora contenta! Si le pongo alguna pega es que el cable podría ser mas largo, pero se arregla con alargadores. ACTUALIZACION UN AÑO DESPUES: sinceramente mas contenta aún que cuando lo compré, la factura me sube al mes unos 15 euros (hay que tener en cuenta que el invierno también utilizo un calefactor para la ducha y hay que incluir esto también), sigue funcionando fenomenal, se me olvidó indicar que al tener termostato, cuando la habitación está caldeada el aparato se apaga solo y se enciende cuando nota bajada de temperatura, lo uso mas que nada en el nivel máximo, el 6 solo al comienzo, luego tengo que bajarlo! Me ha llegado a subir 3-5 grados la habitación donde trabajo, en mi dormitorio también lo he puesto y tengo que bajarlo al nivel entre el 3-4, habitación de unos 15m2, en el salón algo mas grande como indiqué es donde lo pongo mas al 6 e igualmente al rato lo tengo que bajar al 5 incluso alguna vez al 4 porque la verdad que desprende un calorcito muy agradable. Su gasto es bajo para el rendimiento que tiene el producto, desde que lo tengo no he puesto el split porque me gasta menos, y en dias de mas frio parece mi perrito, lo llevo de un lado a otro ajajaa (podría tener ruedas aunque aún así, me compensa!) Cuando algo es bueno sinceramente hay que decirlo, y este radiador es un campeón, un año después y ¡Ahí está el tío dándolo todo! 🤪
