The Genomic Kitchen will be a required reading for my clients.
Nutrition educators need to stay current with nutrition science information. It's the best way to serve individuals well. If you are a clinician or someone who's desire is to have a better understanding of how food 'has a conversation' with your body chemistry- this is the book for you. Amanda is an outstanding educator. Beyond this book she offers online courses, FB groups, Pinterest boards, printable handouts and so much more. To prompt me to apply this exciting method, I simply placed a chalkboard in my kitchen. Used Amanda's method of grouping real food stocked in my kitchen by it's deeper qualities. Then very simply created plates and bowls that have made delicious meals for me and my family. I feel better and look healthier. I wish the same for my Nutrition Therapy Clients. A final thought. If you wish to break the habit of eating fast food, buy and read this book!

Excellent book translating cutting edge science to what to actually eat
I had taken a course in Functional Nutrition for my continuing education as a dietitian and Amanda's component was my favorite part as I work in the food industry. Amanda uses simple images to help translate complex biochemistry, gene coding, etc into an easy to understand format that causes the reader to go "A ha! That makes so much sense!" And with the MISE concept versus must follow recipes, the reader can apply suggested ingredients to any cuisine, dining location, meal easily and consistently. Great job Amanda!

In Depth Look at Food-as-Medicine
If you really want to know how food works and why every bite counts, this is the book for you. Amanda provides lists of "master" ingredients, "influencers" and my personal favorite "superfoods." This book is an exciting journey into the world of how food speaks to your genes. It helped me to understand more about genetics and why this is the medicine of the future. The food lists provide wonderful at-a-glance guidance on what you want to include on your next grocery list.

The Genomic Kitchen is genius.
Amanda Archibald artfully explains how food affects genetic expression (bad or good) and shares culinary secrets to "turning on" good genes. The Genomic Kitchen s a beautifully written, brilliant interpretation of how the Mediterranean diet (specifically on the Italian island of Sardinia and the Greek island of Ikaria) relates to the foods and the longevity of the natives living there. Amanda teaches us how to simply and artfully weave genetically beneficial foods into our daily lives.Gay Riley, MS, RD, CCN, FMN

Gobble this one up!
Amanda has taken the time to sift through every inch of research there is on our genes and how good can have a positive impact on how our genes express. Food is powerful, and Amanda will convince you if you didn’t believe it before.
