Super sheer and just thick enough to work!
Not sure why “thickness” or “sheerness” is listed as a question under computer hardware. Maybe it’s just me but I never thought of a computer peripheral as ‘sheer’.At any rate it works fantastic. Have it plugged into my laptop and it’s running 2 separate monitors to keep track of my students...so I have 3 screens total. Not a single issue in the 2 months I’ve had it going. I do have a USB connection to provide power (plugged into a regular cell phone USB wall changer). It will work without it if your display port provides enough current, but I didn’t want to chance it flaking out during a class.

Good product with very minor glitches
Intend to use this to route my main PC's displayport out to to streaming devices, got this, the housing looks very hight end, plugged it in, worked right away. Want to share one more thing , there was flickering issue after the PC come out of the standby, fixed the problem by plugin the USB to a power strip's USB port which provided constant power, I guess the flickering was caused by the USB port on the PC when waking up from sleeping, not a issue on the mst splitter, so still 5 star.

COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY! AMAZON WILL NOT TAKE BACK THIS TRASH!
It's supposed to be a simple splitter for your DisplayPort to two HDMI outputs. I just wanted to add a second external monitor of the exact same model as the one I already use plugged into my one HDMI port. I tried it with just one monitor first, plugging in the DP end to the PC and the monitor's HDMI to the device's other end. FAILED! So I tried using the provided USB adapter, connecting it to the PC and device, and the monitor's HDMI to the device as before. FAILED! Contacted Amazon, went through their lengthy A.I. troubleshooting with zero results. Chatted with an Associate who wasted time asking useless questions before finally telling me the return period had passed (two weeks ago) and I would need to contact the manufacturer.Amazon has failed me and cheated me with this worthless junk product and with their refusal to stand behind it. Interestingly, I notice on their website that this item is no longer available and it's unknown when or whether it will become available again. I BET! They probably get so many sour reviews and attempts to return it that now they've just pulled this junk from the site. Use your own judgment as to what you buy from here, whether this product, this brand, or anything else from this site.

The splitter did not work
I need to connect a HDMI monitor dual) to a Dis;playport on my PC. For what ever the reason that splitter did not work. I used a single connection and it did work. Don't know what the difference is>

High quality and good value
Very solid product, used it for a while, so far everything worked as expected, I did research on the simplest solution to connect to multiple external monitor, this one seems to be the most cost-effective one, and hopefully it will stand the test of time, many adapters I had before didn't last more than a year, fingers crossed, will recommend if it can last more than 6 month in my set up :-)

Will NOT pass FreeSync, but good images
Some active DP to HDMI converters will pass FreeSync through to a FreeSync HDMI monitor, and others won't. I have not yet sorted out the specific parameter or specification to identify which will and which won't, but I have two active converters that allow my FreeSync monitors to run FreeSync and two that won't. Make it three now, that won't...This converter does NOT pass FreeSync through to the monitor, although otherwise seems fine. I'm using it in an extended mode, so two monitors with different content on each, and the image is crisp.

Works exactly as described
Purchased so I could be more effective working from home. I am running 2 LG UHD monitors as well as laptop screen using the laptops internal graphics card. Response time is good, not great, but that is not due to any issue with the splitter...i'm really at the limit of what the computer can support. I plugged it into the display port on the computer, connected the power to a laptop USB port, connected the two external monitors, and after a minute of sequencing the monitors through Windows' display settings, I was up and running.
