This review is focused on the installation and initial use of the MotoBatt MB9U battery. Battery has only been in use for a month so I won't comment on longevity.The Honda Elite 150 scooter (1984-1987), including the 125 and different 1987 model use a Yuasa YB9B non sealed battery. For years I have looked for a modern AGM sealed replacement battery. This battery is the one. It fits perfectly, slides right in. Amp output on this is also just a little higher (9.5 vs 11) so you will notice the starter ticking over just a little bit quicker. For me this has translated to quicker starting and less wear on the battery and shorter periods of running the starter. A nice upgrade considering the old battery ofen had me concerned it the bike would even restart after a short ride to the store. And completely sealed as well. No mess.So far a great upgrade for your old Honda Elite.

I’ve only owned this battery for a couple of weeks so I won’t review on longevity, but the value for money and installation process was easy. Hooked it up to my 1971 Honda CB175 motorcycle. It came ready to go right out of the box. I throw it on the trickle charger every couple of days and charge it back up to full. No issues at this time!

Wonderful, AGM battery, more power, longer lasting, no longer need to worry about battery maintenance

I bought this after reading other reviews about MotoBatt batteries. The installation was super easy and fit perfectly into my 1983 Honda CM250 C. So far, I am very happy with this battery. I like the fact that it is a sealed battery without all of the nasty fussing with water levels, electrolytes, etc. that regular lead acid batteries require. Hygrometer? Are you kidding me? I want to push start and go! This battery provides the power to do just that. Although I haven't had this long enough to comment on battery life, I will provide an update in a few months. For now though, I would highly recommend this to anyone considering battery replacement.

This battery is exactly the size to replace a Yuasa YB9-B.(no bottom extenders, included, required) The customizable terminals and bottom extenders make this easy to fit to other uses that require reversed terminals, increased height or horizontal mounting. I did put this battery on a trickle smart charger out of the box and it did fully charge in about 30 minutes. Installed, the starter performance is consistent with the increased CCAs. The starter is faster than any other battery used on this motorcycle. Overall case construction and design appear to be superior to other brands. This is one of only two AGM batteries I could find that replace the YB9-B. Since I have only had this battery for about a month, I limited my review rating to 4 stars. Longevity is the key to most all motorcycle batteries. Time will tell.

I purchased this battery to replace an old wet cell type in my classic motorcycle. The price was twice what I would've paid for a wet cell but I figured I should keep up with modern technology. I was wrong, at least where the Motobatt is concerned. I had it in my old Triumph for four days, rode with it 50 miles, and it died. Just died - not enough power to turn on an oil pressure light. Tried to recharge it a couple of times, then gave up. It's brand new - but now it's going off to the recycling center. Thankfully, Amazon gave me credit for the purchase. I cannot reccommend Motobatt under any circumstances.

I purchased this battery (Motobatt MB9U) in April of 2015 and installed it in May in a 1978 Triumph Bonneville 750. As of February, 2022, It is still holding a charge at 12. 85 volts. I charge it about once every two or three months even though it doesn't seem to need it. Can you believe that? I can't believe it, but it's true. This battery is WAY better than any battery, including Die Hard, that I have used for this motorcycle, and I bought this bike new in '78. The reeeely nice thing about this battery is: it don't leak atall. Not a bit. And, if that's not enough for ya, it's yellow so you can find it in the dark or in a pile of leaves in the forest if you misplace it. Get one and stop messin' about with others.

When the old battery quit after more than 9 years, I replaced it with another just like it.These batteries are long lasting, powerful and easy to install.

I installed the battery from the delivery box, and it fitted my T150V and it worked. It was charged to 12.4 volts. The 4 terminals are great to allow easy installation.

Fits into my scoot well (scomadi tl 125) & does what it says on the box.....starts my scoot....lol
