Frisk 14381002 Yupo Artboard A2, White

I won’t be buying these again. They arrived bowed and even though I laid them flat for a few weeks under weight, the shape didn’t change. I then tried to manually bend them and that still didn’t work.The surface you ink on is so porous that the slightest of colours stain. As such, the ink didn’t move about the board as you’d expect it to on Yupo - and with the added mishape of the board itself, the control of the ink was counterintuitive. Like blow drying paint up a wall.Nice idea, not worked out well.The art surface needs to be much more plastic than paper. Maybe the backing should be sheet plastic to stop the cardboard warping too.

Great quality

I bought this just to see how it compared to the heavyweight yupo paper. The great thing about it is it doesn't warp in heat (which yupo does) and also doesn't seem to stain as much either. It is however, pretty cheap looking. I sell my alcohol ink art and I'd never use this surface for a commission. It's a bit dull and has a slightly bumpy surface so you don't get as nice or as polished a finished result. Good for practice though.
