Quality book
Bought this book with a desire to grow hops. Very good book, but made me realize how difficult and unrealistic it would be for me to attempt to grow hops. If you live in the southeastern US, maybe think of a different hobby.

Too US centric
This is an interesting book but it should be called "The US Hop Grower's Handbook"; it is disappointingly very US centric.

Very good read. Stimulating for the aspiring hip grower. Anything you wanted or needed to know to get the ball rolling with hop production is included in this book. I'm planting a 1/2 acre of hops this spring and after reading this book I feel much more confident.

The best hops growing book that we found (and boy did we look everywhere)
My husband said this was the best book that he found on scaleable hops production for the hobby grower to the large scale producer. Very informative and great photos. The binding and photo quality was really nice too.

Wanna learn to grow hops? Here's your resource
Best book I've read on growing hops, period. It's amazingly helpful in just about every regard. You have all the basic knowledge you'll need to grow some damn fine hops here.

Good introduction to hop culture
A very good book with a down to earth understanding of the main hop varieties around the world and key players in beer production.

Essential reading for any hop grower.
Very comprehensive and in depth. This book will suit the back garden grower up to a commercial operation. Excellent pictures too.

Excellent insight into the whole process on a small holding scale and up
Excellent - read it all over a weekend.Well structured book that starts with both a 'where she's come from' to put everything into context and a good general history of hop growing (mainly US but I found still relevant for UK)). Starts with their experience of 05.-1 acre but then extends out to explain what was/is required for them to extend into the 5acre+ grower. Covers the manual processes and the steps, options and costs of auto processes. Don't worry - she also covers the pleasures of growing hops !For me a great investment as it has veered me AWAY from launching into a venture discussed over many evenings wearing rose-tinted beer goggles.
