Easy to cut, easy to join to fittings, and it drips consistently. I've had a few mysterious leaks (between emitters), but it's easy to just cut the hose at the leak and install a coupling.

This is high-quality tubing and a great option if you are having trouble with leaks or have a higher pressure drip irrigation system. I had previously tried the more flexible and softer MXC brand, but found that it could not securely hold at joints, especially under hot sun. This Rain Bird tubing is definitely stiffer and slightly more difficult to work with, but it is very much more secure and will save you having to rip and replace the lines you thought had been easy to lay but now keep coming apart. It does tend to want to keep its cooled shape, but a little bit of flexing in the other direction straightens it out. And if you intentionally bend it, it will hold the shape. I was so frustrated by my earlier choice that I replaced it all with this and double-barbed connectors. It hasn’t given me any problems since. Even in the couple of places where I ended up having to use single-barbed connectors, this tubing has also held up fine. Those who say this tubing is difficult to work with must have extremely low water pressure or no sunlight. Otherwise, I can’t imagine being satisfied with anything less than this product.

I was expecting a much more flexible rubbery plastic based on the pictures, like a vinyl. This is a more rigid plastic which will kink. The finish is rough and textured, not smooth as shown. I think it's legitimate product based on the oem description.The best 1/4" line I've found so far is "mister landscaper". It's very flexible, never kinks, you can tie it in a knot. It does have a tendency to pop off some of the undersized budget attachments in direct sun after a year. But, it is super easy to get to stay where you want it. I have sections i haven't touched up in 7 years. It's also 3-4x the price.This product on the other hand has a tendency to fight you, because it wants to retain the curve memory. You have to be more careful going up and over the edge of a raised bed, because it will trend to crimp rather than bend if you start running out of slack. I find lengths have to be more precise, because of the lack of flexibility and the tendency to spring back. It will take a fairly tight radius before it kinks, as pictured. Once kinked though, that spot will fold over much easier forever after.It does hold the barbed attachments well, but will need to evaluate if that holds true an entire season. I usually get a few years before i need to cut a fresh section of the mister landscaper line.I would say this is much better suited to the barb connectors not the thread in emitters. The outer diameter being narrower doesn't clip into the stakes used with the thread in style. They do seem too thread in tight enough though. I haven't tested under pressure, and probably won't since a 90 or 180 degree emitter needs to stay where you aim it, and i don't want to mess around with zip ties when other products work.

Love that these are pressure regulated emitters so you can really do a lot with them. Rainbird is always quality, and you get a good value. Fits standard 1/4" tubing connections perfectly with zero leaks or problems, emitters are high quality and don't get clogged, very happy with this purchase. Tubing is pretty easy to work with and I find it on the softer side of drip tubing so you can go in and around corners and such, connections quality is perfect with no leaks.. This is my first year but the tubing looks like it'll wear a long time and is quite durable.

This is the best drip tubing I've used! I started with black soaker hoses, then moved to 1/2 tubing with emitters, and am slowly replacing everything with this. Perfect for young shrubs and perennials in the landscaped and for use in raised beds. I love that the emitters are close together so that I can run for shorter periods to saturate an area. It's also very flexible and lightweight, so I've been able to put it exactly where I want and not needed to stake it in place. When winter comes, it will take up a lot less room in the garage than the stiff 1/2" tubing.
