The Ticket That Exploded: The Restored Text

The book was delivered on time and was in perfect shape.

I've read the 1967 version of this book a few times but I enjoyed this "restored text" version quite a bit. The introduction by Burroughs scholar Oliver Harris is quite interesting. I was not aware that Burroughs had created a second version of the book for publication by Grove Press in 1967. Harris also reveals many interesting details about the source material that Burroughs used for the cut-up sections of the book. Fragments of T. S. Eliot, Rimbaud, Joseph Conrad, F. Scott Fitzgerald and e.e. cummings appear frequently. And the notes at the back of the book are also very helpful. My favorite sections of this book are In a Strange Bed and Combat Troops in the Area. The cut-up passages are some of the best that Burroughs ever produced.

Fine edition of this important book

Thr book was a Christmas gift for my granddaughter. I do not know if she has read the book yet. It was received promptly and in excellent condition.

If you can't open this on Kindle K3, delete it, reboot the kindle and download it again.This book is the gold standard for gaining insight into WSB's surreal moral vision

to be read once a decade, at least

a fantasy that only a mind like Burroughs could produce...great book.

Love this book. It is a first printing but it is not, as advertised, signed. Not even by nobody.
