Worth the Work
Be patient. Keep your Lego instructions on hand and be prepared for many hours of work. After that? The end result is beautiful! Be careful not to over stress the wires- they break easily. But customer support is great. This is well worth the level of effort and money, as well as colorful and bright!

Castle looks amazing!!
Took about three days to complete but definitely worth the effort. The castle looks amazing! All the wires and pieces were neatly organized and labeled. I followed the enclosed directions and also followed along with a YouTube video. The combo instructions got me through the construction. Along the way, one of the connectors broke. I contacted the seller and they quickly shipped out a replacement. Great customer service and quick shipping on the replacement part. A+++

Do not buy unless you have nothing but tons of free time and amazing eye sight/small fingers.
I was excited to buy for my daughter because the pictures looked amazing. I bought the lights the same time as the castle itself as a birthday gift. The return policy only allows for 7 days. Unless you have nothing going on in your life, helping your daughter get the castle done in 7 days is hard enough, double that time to install the lights, zero chance of completing it in that 7 day window. Obviously, with the poorly designed instruction manual, you will spend a minimum of 20-30 hours putting on these lights (that's if you're lucky nothing goes wrong). I tested each strand individually after installing to make sure everything worked. It did and honestly, looked good as I installed one by one. But of course when I went to connect them all at the end, they didn't work. I unplugged one by one, all would stop working when i had more than 3 strands plugged into the connector. As long as I had only two plugged in, they worked. Spent more hours troubleshooting, breaking a few of the fragile wires along the way, searching for videos, nothing. And this was only the first half of the castle. Realizing the 20 plus more hours I had to go to finish the big Hogwarts wing left a sinking hole in my stomach. After about 12-16 hours in total thus far, nothing to show for but a non structurally sound castle and lights that won't work - not to mention an urge to throw the whole castle in the garbage. There is no way a person with a job and a family can get this completed to test before the return policy expiration of 7 days. $159 down the drain and now a few more hours to remove the lights to get it back to normal - can't wait, so much fun. There should be a huge warning before buying that it will take 30 plus hours and lots of troubleshooting /soldering /YouTube video searching to finally complete. But if people knew that, most wouldn't buy it. The good news, I finally got a chance to use the magnifying glass that's been sitting in my desk drawer for twenty years untouched.

Awesome kit to behold
I love the way these turned out. It add so much more to the display. It easily allows you to see into the display. The biggest issue I had is that I ended up needing a hot glue gun to keep the lights in place on some of the spots. The instructions were very accurate and showed exactly what needs to be done.

Difficult to install but the end product is great
This product is a great addition to your Lego project, but it will definitely take some patience and a some work to install it. Don't expect to sit down and be done in a few hours. There will probably be some moments when you're frustrated, but if you can make it through to the end you'll be really pleased with the final product. Pros: 1. As I said... the final result looks great. For me, it was worth the time and money 2. Customer service was great. I had two connectors that were damaged. I emailed their service folks and got a very quick response. They replaced the components free of charge. 3. They do include some extra lights in case some of them malfunction. Cons: 1. The instructions definitely need improvement (see Tips below). The books show pictures of parts you'll need for each step, but the actual installation of said parts is almost impossible to decipher in a lot of cases. 2. Running wires underneath your Lego blocks doesn't let you snap the pieces all the way in as you normally would. This is probably an issue with any of these light kits, but there's no real way around it if you want to hide the wires. Just be prepared to have some of the pieces not want to stay in place. 3. Many of the lights that are used on the various light poles and wall sconces are stuck in place using little squares of padded double-sided tape. It works... mostly. But they don't stay in place very well. There HAS to be a better way to do this. Tips: 1. Test the components before you install. I did it by plugging one of the USB power cables into an expansion board, and then plugging the light or connector into another slot on the expansion board. Put the USB into a computer and you're in business. 2. There's an installation video out on YouTube that shows the complete installation. USE IT! 3. Test... install... then test again, if you can. 4. As it says in the instructions, be gentle with the pieces. Don't force plugs into the expansion board slots. Don't pull on wires after they're installed and clamped underneath the bricks. I'd have given this product 5 stars, but it really is difficult to install... especially given the instructions they provide. I hope this helps you out.

Juryrigging and purchasing extra parts will be required
Instruction manual is difficult to follow and misses steps when reassembling the large tower. The video was also not clear but i was at least able to figure it out. With the missing steps I had to purchase an extra extension board and connector cable. The cables are so flimsy that you are bound to break 1 or 2 so it would be nice to include extras as I ended up spending more money on replacement cables. When I did order replacement cables I had to buy the off-brand ones because the actual Brixsmax brand did not fit. I believe they may have changed the size of the connectors and expansion boards from the time of my purchase and the time I started work on the project. Very disappointed in the quality of the product and instructions but the end-result with some juryrigging and extra expense is great.

I have a few of these sets and this is the first one I've had issues with. It pains me to give a poor review as the customer service is stellar and I generally love Briksmax products, but this one was defective and very difficult to assemble. The castle itself comes in 2 sections. The first section worked great, it is tricky to get the wiring in and you do lose a bit of the structural integrity, but it's doable. There was 1 section that didn't light up and I was able to trace it back and fix it. The 2nd section was a different matter. I found a couple of wires that were damaged, contacted customer service and within hours they had shipped replacement parts. They really were great. However even with replacement parts the 2nd section isn't lighting up at all, none of it. I've followed my wired back, tested the battery pack etc and there's nothing for it. I'm sadly having to return this one but hoping to give it another try in the future.

Poorly designed, difficult to follow instructions, and no extra parts. Looks great when done but save yourself the hassle. This is a terrible kit. The Light my Bricks kit has to be a better option.

Rendu incroyable ! Mais j'ai mit plus d'une semaine à monter les petites LED et, si on a le malheurs de pincer un cable, toutes les lumières ne fonctionnent pas. Au moindre choc les câbles cassent. Donc fragile et compliqué à monter.
