Yes it does, if you clean the filter first and then leave it in the filter it will dissolve.

Is this product good for high ammonia and nitrite level in pond

it will assist in helping to keep it under control but if your parameters are high I sujest you do some water changes as well. also amazon sell a product called zeolite this is a natural product that you put in a mesh bag and place within your filter which helps to remove the amonia. regular cleaning and feedinf less will also assist in lowering nitrite and ammonia. I have a 4ft tank can I use 1/2 tablet in it, it is bothered by green water and algae
