I was in an intense photoshoot day where I should many thousand images (Tet 2021!). This card allows the full speed of the Canon EOS R5. The buffering capacity of the R5 isn't that big (you'll notice if you use SD cards which quickly fill the buffer). However, the CFExpress Type B cards are so fast that the images write down so fast that you will never run out of buffer no matter how long you hold the shutter button. If you are copying images off the CFExpress card to your computer's SSD, it'll only take a couple minutes to dump all 128 GB of images and videos. And then that card is ready to go back in action! At first I thought I would have 1, maybe 2 CFExpress cards and then a bunch of fast SD cards. However, the CFExpress is so fast that it is a joy to keep shooting. if you are constantly running around having to cover a major event, the Sony card will be an amazing partner. Now, I gave the card a 3/5 score in value. And that's because on my Xbox Series X, it has a Seagate expansion card that is only slightly bigger but it's faster and much cheaper (1 TB is $220). I know. Different product category.
