Competitively priced, but have long shelf life and perform as well as name brands
These batteries are competitively priced, have a long shelf life and perform very well. Much lower cost than the name brands, yet work and last just as well. I am retired from the electronics manufacturing business and can see these are as good quality as name brands and better made than cheap, no-name batteries that I have bought before trying to save money. I suspect the main price difference is because the name brands pay for print and television advertising that you end up paying for in their higher retail pricing. I never see Amazon Basics ads in magazines, newspapers or on television but I have been buying Amazon Basics AA, AAA and 9 volt cells for years in 20- & 8-piece packs, depending on my needs. I no longer buy the higher price brands or the low end no-name batteries that are poor in quality and mediocre in performance. Try these instead and save some dough!
