This purchase worked out great. My favorite movable light in my shop had the lamp sockets with the rotart switch but the threaded switch mount was plastic an was broken. The mount on this switch was close enough to swap good for bad (just the switch mount and stem). This put the light back in service for pennies instead of dollars.

I was not able to find this type of lamp socket at the big box hardware stores but found these on Amazon. They worked to replace sockets with broken rotary switches in an older floor lamp. Can't speak to the durability yet but they seem to be reasonably similar to the sockets they replaced.

This kit was exactly what I needed to refurbish a very nice, but worn out pole lamp. It included the end switched lamp holder and the threaded nuts needed to secure the holder to the shield. It took less than 20 minutes to swap out the old parts for new, including soldering (not necessary, but my choice) the leads and shrink-tubing the connections. Well worth the cost.

These three identical lamp and switch assemblies arrived on time and I used one to repair a lamp. The broken and new part were nearly identical. Plenty of wire attached and an easy install. I am attaching pictures as the three I received did not appear to be the same as the photo on Amazon. Hopefully overall length and shade retainer dimensions will be helpful. Cheap manufacture, so I hope this lasts. Will upgrade rating if it does.

I don’t know if it’s my location but I’ve been having a tough time finding rings for these sockets. The fact that they didn’t include them is a bummer, but aside from that they work fine.
