Unique item that does the job (when it works), but also very cheaply made. The construction is very flimsy and plastic is thin. The metal used for contacts is also very flimsy/thin. Wiring is scary, looks like a fire hazard. The two terminals are dangerously close together and has little shielding.The base/tab that is suppose to fit in the G9 socket is too thick at the top and doesn't fit/lock all the way into the socket. If you look at a normal G9 bulb, the tab tappers off a little so that it slides in and locks. These are uniform and therefor do not insert all the way into the socket.Finally 3 of the 4 of these that arrived did not work. I tried them with different sockets and bulbs. It's definitely the adapters that are defective. I'm sure I could try to 'fix' them, but I rather return them for a refund. Even if they did work, I probably would end up returning them anyway because these are just a short waiting to happen.

Don't fit, cheap

Like other reviews have indicated, only 50% of the adapters actually worked out of the box. Upon closer inspection, I realized the electrodes on the adapters are actually molded into the adapter base in a manner which makes them slightly narrower than an actual G9 light bulb base. The G9 light bulb socket electrical connections are on the side of the socket. In order for the adapters to work, I needed to bend the adapter electrodes further out to the sides of the adapter base. Once I did this, 100% success. Very happy with these now, just wish the engineering was properly done!
