Poppy and Sam Complete Book of Farmyard Tales with CD (CV)

I love these simple but fun stories about two young children and their life on a farm. The little duck hiding on each page encourages children to engage with the page before they know how to read. As they learn to read they may read the simple line, and an older child or adult can read the more detailed version below. The process works to gradually draw the young child into the reading process in a very unintimidating way. I preferred the individual, easy to hold individual books, but am glad they have now been preserved in this full volume.

Excellent stories and illustrations. One of our family’s all-time favorite books!
