A&R Sports USA Waxed Hockey Laces, 72-Inch, White

I have been playing hockey for 20 years and I was just introduced to waxed laces about 4 years ago. This is my second time purchasing the a&r brand waxed laces and they have performed well both times. I am three games in on this pair and they keep my skates tight throughout the games. They last much longer than traditional laces because they don't absorb water which speeds deterioration. I also haven't had much trouble with these laces giving me lace bite. All in all I'd say that these are the best bang for your buck when it comes to waxed laces.

These are great laces. They will not slip, and are easy to adjust to the different parts of the foot as the boot is laced and tied. Highly recommend

Great product, very waxy. Eventually wax wanes as expected so must replace now and then but we’ll worth it to assure laces done loosen. ride that outside edge with confidence!

I've ordered a lot of waxed laces online. This is the first pair where the color and wax seemed off. It was like one lace was waxed and the other wasn't and they were obviously two different shades of purple. It was a bit disappointing but maybe not something that could have been easy to avoid. In the packaging I didn't notice they were different colors. Thinking maybe they were old stock that sat near a window too long causing the wax to heat up and one lace to become discolored.

So I try a lot of different laces trying to find the best ones for my kid. I like the wax variety because they stay tight once laced. It does make it more difficult for the kids to lace though. Some wax laces are too waxy making the laces very stiff. But I’ve finally realized these, AR laces, are the best because they aren't as waxy as the Elite Hockey brand and more importantly they are sized correctly. These 120” laces were 120. The other brand was 12 inches longer.

Awesome laces, have a great grip on them and easy to tie. Start to wear out after a year or so though.

This would easily be a 5-star rating if the laces were evenly waxed.Out of the package, the two laces were noticeably different in color due to the difference in waxing. The fully waxed lace is great: easy to work with, good grip in the boot while tightening and tying, doesn't loosen up in use – *exactly* what I want from waxed laces (5 stars for that lace: perfect!) The other has little to no wax, and has the issues with workability, grip, and security I wanted to get away from by switching to waxed.
