Nostalgia FTW
The game works fine, no errors so far and I played the game for a good three hours and the new save battery works too. The game feels great and it's just like another Pokemon game. The game came in the mail in extremely good condition. The seller said the game's cover sticker is minor scratched but mine didn't have a single scratch or damaged at all. The cartridge it self was clean and surprising little to none scratches or wear on it. It felt like I just bought the game from the store 20 years ago. So this game made feel all the nostalgia and when I turned it on, it sounded fine and it worked fine. And I played it on my gameboy color so even more nostalgia. But the cartridge may vary but it's still worth the money

Great Shape
I've never purchased a used game cartridge online before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. The Pokemon Yellow Version I received was in great shape! Plays well (so far) and has successfully saved a new game. I was a little nervous that it was just sent in a bubble mailer without any extra protection, but it seems to be totally fine. I'd order again.

Does not work.
Took me a while to get my gameboy fixed but now that I have that back, the game doesn't work. +$100 for the game and over another $100 to fix my gameboy all for nothing

Unable to save progress
The game itself was good and in good shape. It works. However, the game doesn’t let you save your progress. So every time you turn it off you have to restart with a new game. Most of these games will allow you to save one game.

Great game, a classic! The game works without issue and did not contain any previous game data. I have both blue and red, and this game adds some twists to the classic RB versions.

The game works fine, although the seller failed to mention that the cartridge's internal battery is dead, basically making it impossible to save any game progress. It'll cost alot to get the parts and get it repaired.

My childhood in a cartridge (or at least part of my childhood) I don't even need to review the game itself - you all know it's a classic. If I should point something out, it is that you can get all 3 starters as well as Pikachu. And if you don't care for Pika, you don't have to use him if you don't want to! Be aware that these old Gameboy cartridges rely on a battery to maintain a save file. No battery, no save. And the ones installed at manufacture are now well over 10 years old and many are now failing. Here are 2 solutions: Replace the battery. You will need a new cr1616 battery (worth about £2) and a special screwdriver for Gameboy games (about £5 or ask nicely at any decent 2nd hand game shop if you can use one) Slide apart the cartridge, carefully remove the old battery (might need fine cutters) from the metal contacts, slide in the new battery, secure with a few layers of insulating tape and put it all back together. Mine has been working for a few months no issues. Just make sure you get a decent brand of battery and no knock offs. Get Pokémon Stadium 2 for Nintendo 64 and the Gameboy adapter pack. You can store your items and pokemon on there with no fear of batteries running out. If I'm not playing for a while, I move everything on there in case of battery failure. Enjoy!
