I have been using whetstones as part of my kitchen tools for over 5 years now and I can say that this is one of the premium quality whetstones out there. I never thought that having a firmly secured air lock bamboo base would make a big difference. It sure does!!! The base is such an important part of the knife sharpening kit. It locks the whetstone in place so that I can focus on honing my knives without having to worry about the whole thing slipping off of my table. The pack comes with a flattening stone too, which is exactly what I needed. The user instructions were great and I learned an interesting way to flatten my whetstones. Overall, very happy with the purchase. A must have kitchen tool!

Used it about 5 times. I am a newbie to knife sharpening so my opinion might not be the best.It’s easy to use the product but I believe it takes practice to get knives sharp since you have to get the right angle consistently. It coMes with an assistant for kitchen knives to achieve a good angle.I’ve used it for my CRKT pocket knives and it worked.RIGHT ANGLE AND CONSISTENCY IS THE KEYOverall I’m satisfied with the stone

Tengo otras piedras de distintas marcas y esta piedra tiene una calidad excepcional. La base de bambú ayuda muchisimo y la piedra que tiene para "rectificar" la piedra grande es maravillosa y ayuda muchísimo incluso con las piedras de otras marcas. Si disfrutas tener tus cuchillos bien afilados esta es la mejor opción.

Performed as expected

My brother loves cooking and will be going to culinary school in the summer. To show support, I bought this for his birthday. He was very excited to have this as his birthday present. It was delivered on time and came in good packaging.

Great product! Puts that nice, freshly honed edge on in no time! Definitely not for putting a new edge on, leave that to a grindstone. But for routinely putting a fresh edge to all your kitchen knives, PERFECT!
