Our house is around 20yrs old, and a couple of the switches were starting to make that static crackly sound when using, so we decided to replace all of them in the house since they are probably all the same age. Visually they are great, some complained of being an off-white, but they seemed plain white to me. The only complaint I have on the switch, is that the tab for the ground screw bends easily, I usually had to support it with a thumb while I was tightening it down, but not a biggie. The other issue I had I will admit is probably my fault due to lack of experience….some of my wire j-hook shapes would not easily wrap around the screw with the default distance the screw backed out, so the first few switches I removed the screw all the way which may have messed up the screw as I had a couple switches not function properly after doing this. Take the time to get the j-hook shaped just right so that it wraps around easily! After a few it will be super simple. Yes they click, quite audibly! But I knew this before buying. Also, coming from flick switches to these takes a little getting used to especially in the dark. Overall, very happy with them, they look nice and work well and absolutely would do it again!
