Mind Reader Pen and Accessories Holder, Desktop Organizer, Office, Metal Mesh, 3.5" L x 3.5" W x 3.75" H, Set of 3, Black

I got this with the intent to replace the coffee mugs on my desk, particularly since I tend to put loose items in them as well and then forget that there is a screw or a plug in there, so the see-through mesh was a plus. For that purpose, they are adequate.I will reiterate some of the other comments as they were my experience as well. In my first attempt to receive these, I literally got a flat bubble-wrap envelope -- no pencil cups -- as the end was open, so they must have come out in shipment. Had they arrived, I have no doubt they would have been destroyed in such poor packaging. As others have pointed out, they are just in a shrink-wrap sleeve. The second set were packaged in an Amazon cardboard box so more protected, though no bubble-wrap so rattled around in the box. Amazon could do a much better job in packaging these.For the actual product, quality control could be better. Of the three, only one had the logo badge on it (which is OK since I didn't like the badge and it was easily removable). Two had various defects in screen edges sticking out from the end-caps or the end-cap shifted so the sides were not straight. The mesh is OK but can bend easier than I expected. The dimensions stated are exterior maximum dimensions. The interior dimensions are closer to 3-5/8" h x 3-1/8" diameter.They work for my purposes and would have been even better if they were packaged so they didn't get squashed in packaging/shipping.

I got these for my aspiring artist daughter to help with her cluttered desk. While they look nice, and do the job they are intended for, they were shipped in an envelope with no box at all. These are lightweight and not particularly strong pen/pencil holders. As you can see in the photos, one of them got smashed during shipping, and as a result, it wobbles. So now I need to return it for a replacement.Both the manufacturer and Amazon are to blame here. The manufacturer should package these in a cardboard box. And since they didn't, Amazon should have shipped them in one. Instead, the manufacturer packages them in a flimsy clear plastic sleeve, and Amazon shipped them in a non-padded envelope. The end result is a roll of the dice; you either get lucky and get an undamaged product, or you end up like me and have to return a damaged one.

These arrived mostly in good condition with no crushed or dented cups. One of them was missing the "Mind Reader" plaque (not so important) and had a flaw in the crimping that exposed a very sharp bit of metal. I just filed it down to soften the edge, but it's a hazard worth mentioning. Other than that, they are nice enough for a typical office desk. Nothing fancy, but not an eyesore either.

We’ve been keeping the family pens, pencils, and scissors in a single mug and I finally got tired of pulling out the wrong thing or trying to shove something back in when I’m finished with it.When this mesh set became available to review I decided it was just the ticket - one for each item type!Apparently I was one of the lucky ones who received them inside a box so there were no major flaws. The label on the front isn’t my favorite (crooked and the printing isn’t as clear as I’d like) but if it really bothered me I think I could pop it off easily enough.Although they do the job I have to admit they are WAY more expensive than they should be ($12.04 ($4.01 / Count) at the time of this review); you can pick up something just as functional (and probably nicer looking) at the dollar store for a third of what these cost.Thank you for reading my review, I hope it was helpful!

These cups are pretty nice and are a good value for money. Using one for pens and highlighters and one for plastic utensils at work. The third is being used as a change cup at home. The only complaint that I have is that, in the picture, it shows the name badge on all three cups. But only one of the three that I got had a name badge. More of an aesthetic complaint, not a functional one.

The “mind reader“ label is only on one of the three containers. It is attached by little tiny little brackets, and you could easily remove it without damaging the container if you wanted to.There were some rough edges on the inside of one of them, but I was able to get them off by picking at them with my finger nail. The same one also has a tiny spot that has a white edge and it is sharp. I have relocated the label to cover it up. (See photos above.) I am deducting one star for this defect, because it does look bad, and I did have to cover it.

I finally replaced my two coffee cups I was using to hold pens, and it looks much better.Two of mine came slightly bent in, like someone had squeezed it a bit, but I just pushed the mesh outwards from inside and it was perfect again.It matches my other black desktop items so it fits in even if other things are not mesh.My photo shows how each container is the size of a coffee mug
