I will start out by saying BE VERY CAREFUL with this product when you first start out!!!After receiving this product in the mail, I figured I would try this the same day that I got it. I headed off to pick up some lunch at a Chinese restaurant. After I placed my order, I popped one of these gelcaps with some tea and drank some ice water as well.Boy was that a mistake!!! I've been taking supplements for the past 20 years including some pretty intense fat burning supplements (thermogenics) that were all the rage a decade ago, I'm sure many of you know the type I'm talking about.Well, yeah some of those were pretty intense and made your heart beat pretty hard and the such, but they all pale in comparison to what I experienced with my first dose of this Yohimbe Plus!Within 10 minutes of taking this I started to feel a bit strange, then within minutes that went in to a full panic attack mode (no, I held myself together since I was at a restaurant, but barely!) including going in to cold sweats, then intense shivering, extreme paranoia like something terrible or evil was about to happen, light headedness, including and up to almost loosing consciousness.Why do I give it 5 stars then? Because I was very foolish and never should have taken this intense of a product on an empty stomach!!!My fault, I should have known better since I'm well aware of how powerful Irwin Naturals products tend to be and that Irwin focuses on maximum absorption of their formulas.It wasn't until after I finished my meal and was back inside my car that I realized what had just happened and correlated everything with the Yohimbe Plus gelcap I had just taken.Even so, I was still in disbelief! Why? Because I've worked many years in the supplement industry and taken literally hundreds of different products during my years running a supplement store, and never once had I ever taken anything that came close to the narcotic like effect that this product had on me.A few days later after sorting out all my thoughts on my experience I realized that it was my mistake for having taken it on an empty stomach knowing that many of the ingredients in this product are stimulating on their own, not to mention all mixed together in one formula.So I decided to try again, but this time I gradually worked my way up.I poked a hole in one of the gelcaps squeezed about 1/4 of the contents out and took that with breakfast. Within about 15 minutes I already felt some of the effect, which in my case (yohimbe) is I get the chills. But this time it was mild and I was prepared for it.Then later in the take I took another 1/4 dose from that same gel cap. This time the chills effect was even less, but by later that night I did notice a bump up in my libido, and general feeling of well being.I continued that dose for the next few days, slowly bumping up the dosage to half a gelcap per day and then eventually I took a whole gelcap with a full meal.I did get the chills on a full gelcap dosage as well a slight amount of the paranoia, but because I was already expecting both, it wasn't a problem and I've learned to just dress more warmly for an hour or so after taking the product.At one gelcap per day, I notice a huge improvement in libido but also in quality and frequency of erections.I would say bang for the buck, this is the best product on the market for its intended purpose, and as I've stated before, I've had access to pretty much everything out there and most of the time I could get products for no charge since I worked in the industry.Indeed, this product works so well.. that there can be other side effects to be aware of.When I do take this product I have to watch out for swelling of the prostrate. The reason being that this product definitely does boost your testosterone levels, but at the same time, higher testosterone levels will also mean more testosterone breaking down in to estrogen and and the not so nice DHT (Dihydrotestosterone) both of which are major factors not only in prostrate inflammation but also in male pattern hairloss.Luckily though these side effects can easily be balanced out. I take NOW brand Pygeum & Saw Palmetto formula to handle those side effects and the NOW formula does very well at it.I do recommend that if you decide to try this Yohimbe Plus that you cycle on and off of this product. I good cycle would be 5 days on and 2 days off. On your 2 days off I would recommend that you take a product called Cacium D-Glucarate which will help clear out your system and reset your hormonal balance to keep you responsive to the Yohimbe Plus formula.Calcium D-Glucarate has plenty of other great benefits as well so overall just a great idea to include as part of your on again off again cycle with the Yohimbe Plus.I recommend the Source Naturals brand Calcium D-Glucarate as they offer the best bang for the buck. The Calcium D-Glucarate you would take 3 tablets in the morning with breakfast, and 3 tablets in the evening with dinner.One last thing... I recommend that you DO NOT take Yohimbe Plus with anything that has caffeine in it as the Yohimbe Plus is already very stimulating and you don't need more stimulants when taking this product!Also, please READ the cautions on the bottle and if you have a history of panic attacks, depression, high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke, ONLY take this product if your doctor says it's ok.If this product makes you feel a bit panicky do know that the feeling tends to diminish as you get used to it but you can also take "Doctor's Best Magnesium" (available here on Amazon) to help mitigate the panicky feeling. Another nice benefit to the Doctor's Best Magnesium is that it will help prevent any muscle cramping you might experience while taking Yohimbe Plus.Anyhow, considering all of the above, at the end of the day, I can and still will recommend this Irwin Naturals Yohimbe Plus. This product is so strong and effective, I would rate it near pharmaceutical level in both strength and effectiveness. It's "full" effects can be noticed about 2 to 3 hours after taking (keep that in mind) and if you compare this price of this product to an actual pharmaceutical drug, this product is tremendously more cost effective.**As a side note I will also mention that in addition to the Yohimbe Plus, I take another product that works hand in hand but from a different angle for the same purposes as the Yohimbee Plus. Warning Folks - this is a powerful stimulant! I popped two of them the first time (big mistake) and was having heart palpitations etc - not fun. Nevertheless, once I figured out and got the used the dosing, I eventually made it through the entire bottle without a recurrence of the first unpleasant overdose. The black tar-like substance inside the capsules tastes pretty bad (bitter with a bit of spiciness, I'm guessing from the Bioperine), but even started cutting the pills in half or consuming just a portion of the liquid instead of taking a full pill at a time depending on my needs that day. You just have to gauge based on your energy level, how much caffeine you may or may not have consumed, how many depressants you have or plan to consume, and so forth.
