Makita to Milwaukee Battery Adaptor
I built a 12v to 19v adapter for my Makita tools, It is easy to trick the tool into accepting the adapter when using an old battery case to get power to the tool. Not so with Milwaukee. They actually have a special circuit in the battery that talks to the tool. This adapter has that circuit built in. I can now use my Makita adapter to run a Milwaukee cordless tool.To the manufacturer and seller, thank you for this.

Great adapter, but..
I’m only leaving four stars because the factory didn’t have enough quality oversight making this adapter.I had to cut two small pieces off of the back of adapter so it could go in all the way because it wasn’t making contact on the tool’s terminals.(Look at pics) other than that; it’s great that I can use my Milwaukee Grinder with my Makita batteries so I don’t have to carry an extra charger and battery for this grinder that I don’t use every single day.

DO NOT BUY THIS ADAPTER BECAUSE IT FALLS OFF MILWAUKEE TOOLS AND IT IS DANGEROUS!!!
Although this adapter locks onto Makita 18V batteries very well, it does NOT lock onto any Milwaukee tools.Because this adapter does not lock onto Milwaukee tools, it can easily slip off the tools, allowing the adapter and the attached Makita battery to fall to the floor. This is dangerous for two reasons. Firstly, the adapter and the heavy Makita battery can fall onto a person's foot, causing significant injury.Secondly, when the adapter and the attached Makita battery fall off the Milwaukee tool, the battery terminals on the adapter are fully exposed, allowing them to be shorted out. A battery short can happen if the if the adapter and the attached Makita battery fall off the Milwaukee tool and land on a piece of metal (such as a pipe, vise, etc.). If this happens, the shorted battery can become very hot and may catch fire.As at least a couple of Amazon reviewers have pointed out, the adapter does not slide all the way onto Milwaukee tools, so it does not allow the Makita battery to make good contact with the Milwaukee tool. One reviewer suggested cutting off part of the adapter, allowing it to slide onto the Milwaukee tool a little bit more, making better contact with the tool. Nevertheless, although this allows the adapter to make better contact with the Milwaukee tool, the adapter does not lock onto the tool.Another reviewer made a short movie showing the adapter sliding on and off a Milwaukee tool. However, the adapter never locks onto the tool. This is evident because the reviewer was able to slide the adapter on and off the tool several times, without ever depressing the adapter’s locking buttons. In summary, since this adapter does not lock onto Milwaukee tools, it is dangerous. Amazon should stop selling it.

Works perfect
I only have one Milwaukie tool and battery but 12 Makita 5.0 batteries and two double chargers. This is just what I needed. Works perfect without modification and pretty slender. Since there are reasons for not standardizing 18 volt batteries across brands these adaptors are a money saving necessity for some of us who don't want to spend hundreds more for batteries and chargers.
