Nokia Audio Adapter for Nokia 6085, 6086, 6126, 6131, N71, N72, N73, N80, N93

I like to listen to music on my Nokia 6085's MP3 player, but with this I can answer an incoming call, chat, and then resume listening to music with one button. It also has a rocker volume control on the side. CAVEATS: (1)The pop-port connector is stiff to insert, takes some getting used to. (2)At first I thought I would have to return this because every phone keypad press would create an incredibly annoying loud POP in the headphones. Fortunately, the problem can be (almost) eliminated by editing a spare profile to silence "Keypad tones", and then assigning that profile to the headphone mode.

It works well and allows Nokia phones with the strange POP port to work with a standard set of headphones. It also works as the antenna for the FM radio. Even though nothing with the documentation enclosed or on the Nokia web site says so, this device DOES work with the Nokia N75 phone. One caution, even thought the description says "Americas Retail Pk" it is obvious that it has been packaged for Europe instead.

This is a really nice adapter to have. if only nokia didn't make you buy an adapter just to listen to music.. but it does work very well and also lets you listed to FM radio, because it acts as an antenna. definately worth the twenty bucks!

First of all I don't appreciate when Nokia come out with a proprietary connector and they force you to buy another adapter to use 3rd party accessories. Second, if they are to provide an adapter that allow you to use 3rd party accessories, make sure it works properly. The AD-46 has this really loud pop when exiting a menu or ending a call. Feels like your eardrums will pop! I returned it as soon as I could. Don't buy!

This unit does work, but what really stinks (this is so typical of nokia), is making even the simplest things complex and non-durable. dont get it, get a phone that accepts standard audio jacks.....

This product works as advertised. After trying many Bluetooth solutions and always having sync or pairing issues, this was an easy cheap solution and the has good sound quality.

I bought this unit for my nokia E61i. But it turns out I should have bought some simple one, e.g. AD-15. First of all, my E61i do not have a FM. Secondly, I don't use the volume buttons' the line of this unit and my earplug always get twisted. The last but the most important, whenever my phone switch from one song to another one, a big noise come out from the earplug, it's terrible annoying.

If you own a compatable Nokia phone, this item is as must have. Phones that are compattible with this product come with their own lame headphones, and you can't use ordinary ones. This product allows you to plug regular headphones into your Nokia Phone so you can listen to your music with your favorite headphones. It has a handy button that answers calls, and with the phone in music player mode, the button switches the music player to the next song. It also has a microphone for hands free calling and volume buttons. The only downside is that the cord is pretty long, and combined with the cord on your headphones, is VERY long, so I just wrap it up with one of those twistie-ties.

J'ai acheté ce produit en constatant que tous les casques ou oreillettes vendus aujourd'hui sont munis de prise jack mâle 3,5mm. Ce petit adaptateur Nokia AD-46 remplit parfaitement sa fonction en permettant de raccorder n'importe quel casque ou oreillette avec une prise jack mâle au téléphone NOKIA qui ne possède qu'une prise "Pop-Port".

Ich bin seit kurzem stolzer Besitzer des oben genannten Audioadapters, nachdem ich mich mit mittlerweile 3 No-Name Adaptern herumgeschlagen habe, welche ich alle 3 Tage neu verlöten musste. Die Verarbeitung ist gut, ein kleines makel ist eine kleine Delle im Kabel (Ist wohl bei der Produktion jemand an das Kabel gekommen), hierbei handelt es sich aber nur um einen kaum sichtbaren Schönheitsfehler. Der Radioempfang ist dank 6 Dezibel Verstärkung erheblich besser als bei einem normalem Headset. Die Tonqualität ist dank 128bit/s sehr gut und der Ton ist bei einem Halbwegs gutem Kopfhörer sehr viel lauter (ich verwende Hierfür den sehr preiswerten Creative EP 630 Ohrhörer schwarz). Des weiteren lässt sich der Adapter sehr gut an der Kleidung befestigen, das Kabel ist sehr lang und die lauter/leiser Tasten an der Seite sind ein weiterer Kaufgrund. MFG, Niklas

Nach 3 Nokia Headsets und einem No-Name Gerät, die ich allesamt ohne viel Aufwand klein bekommen habe, nun dieser Adapter, der mein Telefon mit einem Klinkenanschluss aufwertet. Ich benutze den Adapter ebenfalls zusammen mit den Creative EP-630 an meinem 6233, wie ich finde ein gutes Gespann für die unkomplizierte Beschallung unterwegs. Die Kabellänge ist ausreichend, um den Mikrofonteil dezent am Hemd unterbringen zu können. Die Tasten geben genug Feedback, um sie auch durch Kleidung hindurch blind bedienen zu können, wie ich finde ein großes Plus. Die Anschlussseite für's Handy hält im Gegensatz zu anderen Produkten erstaunlich gut, sodass keine störenden Tonaussetzer mehr auftreten.

Gute Verarbeitung, kann man immer weiter empfehlen, für jedem das richtige, der nicht die Originalen Kopfhörer verwenden möchte, so ist und bleibt man flexible

Wie auch mit meinen anderen Nokia-Zubehörprodukten war ich mit diesem hier sehr zufrieden. Die Verarbeitung ist gut, das gehäuse steif und nicht knarzig und auch nicht empfindlich gegenüber Kratzern, die Rufannahme funktioniert ebenfalls einwandfrei. Klang im Rahmen der Möglichkeiten meines 6280 1A (per Stereoheadset oder Bluetooth nicht besser). Einziger nachteil aus meiner sicht ist der gewinkelte Stecker. Heutzutage tragen die meisten ihr Gerät in der Hosen oder Jackentasche hier halte ich Adapter mit Kabelführung senkrecht nach unten für sinnvoller.
