I have a closet that's long and deep, and when the house was built, the lighting in the closet sucked. These solved the problem, but I wish the battery life were better.

Hard for me to lock the cover in place and know it is locked. Light is great otherwise.

These puck lights look nicer than the light strips, we think. And they make our cabinets look so nice. We love that there's a timer so we don't forget them at bedtime. And the soft indirect adjustable lighting makes the room that much nicer. But let me tell you- these things eat up batteries like crazy. And they won't do it all at once. One will go out within a few minutes of turning it on and you replace those batteries. 1-3 days later, another will go out quickly, and do this on repeat for a few day. We use these about every 2 days, so we're good for 4-6 weeks before the battery game begins again.One hilarious thing we found out about the remotes is that they work on the same frequency as our electric candles AND the fireplace. So the first night- we turn them on and 3 candles turned on too. We hit the off button and the lights and 2 candles went off, one stayed on, and 2 other candles turned on. We even found a candle hidden behind some books we forgot about when it came on. We we're cracking up. So we found that we can't have the lights and all the candles and the fireplace on at once. no biggie.And at the end of the night- we do the remote dance at the end of the night trying to make everything stay off.

DO NOT BUY.We bought this product a while ago to use as under cabinet lights. The reviews were mostly positive and we thought it would work since we can't wire anything without a pretty major remodel. We initially bought rechargeable batteries, as I had hoped the higher initial cost would offset by the fact that we could reuse the batteries over and over again. However, we thought the batteries were terrible because the lights would dim or go out after only a couple of uses. We then switched to a higher quality store brand of batteries, thinking the batteries were the problem. We installed new batteries 3 weeks ago and the lights worked great but didn't use them again until last night and, you guessed it, the lights were dead. I checked a few batteries and most of them were completely drained, even though I hadn't used the lights at all! Upon a closer look, I saw the lights had corroded many of the batteries.This product is cheap and worthless. Buy nice or buy twice. STAY AWAY.

These have come in handy. I use them in my pantry.

Update: Not recommended for long term daily use. I work several hours a day and having them on all the time leads to a lot of battery consumption.I only received these yesterday, so I can't speak on the longevity. However, I purchased them to install under the bookcase of my desk, as I couldn't see my keyboard. I used 3 installed evenly over the desk and they put off just the right amount of even light for what I needed with no glare. I like that they're dimmable and have a remote. I also like the auto shutoff feature so that the batteries aren't wasted when not in use.I was dreading install under the assumption that I'd have to program the remotes to work each light. No programming needed. The remotes are pre-programmed to operate all of the lights. Which is probably why some people are having issues with the remotes operating other nearby lights. If you hold them close and pointed directly at the light you want to control, you could possibly avoid that issue.Also, regarding complaints about difficulties with the battery compartment, there are small locking tabs that need to be aligned with slots before twisting them on. Find those and it's less difficult.A suggestion about the adhesive not working... maybe try adhering the battery covers in place and then attaching the lights/batteries the next day so that there's less weight pulling on the adhesive while it sets.I like them, other than I wish they came in an exterior color other than white. I was looking for a brushed chrome to match the bookcase lights and hardware on my desk, but they're otherwise fine so far.
