ferrets are small animals, micro is very small, farad is the unit of measurement for capacitors, this device i sent back for poor quality so i did not work with it.

No. It reads AC amps. Your car runs on DC. Good question. It can read DC voltage and ohms. If you trouble shoot your problem with that information, go for it. Now to read DC amps you install a shunt and read the voltage drop across the shunt. Shunts are 1,2 ohms the can carry a high amperage.
