The foundation I come back to year after year
Trends come and go, and I don’t see any influencers talking about Revlon Colorstay, but it really is great stuff. I’ve been wearing it forever, from my oily skin years to my maturing skin years. People literally can’t tell if I’m wearing makeup. Every year or so I try something more expensive or whatever is trending but it’s just not as good. If you want full coverage, natural looking foundation without spending a fortune, Revlon can’t be beat.

Great coverage, light feel
I love the coverage of this makeup and have reordered a few times so thought I should review. It conceals my red cheeks and blemishes so well while still feeling light. I end up using more to conceal than just a base. I use a sponge to apply.

Totally met expectations
I live in SW FL and the temps are very hot and humid. I have used Elizabeth Arden since I was a teenager. This makeup lives up to the claim of long lasting! It does not sweat off which is the problem I have had with my previous makeup. I apply with a brush and am very pleased with the coverage and the stay on power.

Worth your money.
Fine, matches my complexion well. Easy to apply and reasonably priced.

Better than KVD lock it and MAC prolong wear
First, about me: light to medium skin tone, neutral undertones, 30 years old, female, combination/oily (mostly oily in T-Zone), acne prone (mostly hormonal), and I experience redness by my nose and cheeks. What I was looking for in foundation: medium/buildable coverage, controls oiliness, long lasting, doesn’t transfer, doesn’t budge, doesn’t settle into my pores or lines. What I have tried:- MAC prolong wear nourishing waterproof foundation in color NC27 — this color was great for the winter/early spring. It matched perfectly and didn’t oxidize. However, it did a terrible job with controlling my oiliness & shine. After a full day, it started to fill my pores and lines on my forehead. I was not even going to test it’s waterproof ability because it was just sitting on my face and would wipe off with just a light touch. Perhaps it just needs a good setting powder or spray (which I have not found yet).- Kat Von D Lock-it foundation — Um, this was a joke. The colors are not great. I tried two (I used online tools to find the right shade) and one was too yellow. The other was actually fine, but I had already tanned quite a bit by the time it was delivered, so it was a bit on the lighter side. I tried this product several ways, with and without primer, with and without setting spray, with and without setting powder... this product just will not “lock” down. It just sat on my face and was so much worse than the MAC. It was so disappointing. I almost feel like KVD means well, and the models on the site are diverse, but her products are just not meant for all skin types.I’ve definitely tried other products, but I wanted to mention those two because they kept popping up on my search for foundation and they are on the higher end of my budget. Finally, I came across this product: Revlon ColorStay for combination/oily skin.I’m not sure what you are looking for, but here is what I love about this product! This goes on so easily, smoothly and lightly, but with medium coverage that I can easily build. It looks so natural! It definitely controls my oily skin. There is a bit of shine after 10 hours, but I don’t look oily. If it bothers me, I just blot a little and it stays matte for even longer. Regardless of whether I use primer, or setting spray/powder, it does the same job! I love it! I got it in the color 310 Warm Golden, which is actually a perfect match. However, in case you didn’t catch on before, I tan very easily, so I just ordered it in Rich Tan. This foundation does not budge and I haven’t had any dramatic transfers like I’ve had with the other two products that cost almost 5x more than this product. I definitely recommend this for everyday use. I have not had any breakouts and I love that it has SPF. It feels natural and I forget I’m wearing makeup. I think this product went on best when applied with a brush with micro bristles (I ordered this flawless foundation brush on Amazon for about $7). One more thing, I have textured skin (pock marks from acne), and at first, I tried to use more product to fill it in, but it didn’t work. However, over time during the day, my skin looked flawless! One thing I did not like, but I’m willing to live with: for some reason it fills my pores a bit on my chin. I don’t know how to fix that other than to touch up or blot, but I have been searching for so long for something that I really like, I’m willing to hang on to this one. (I haven’t broken out from it either). If you’ve read this far, thank you. And good luck finding the right foundation for you. Hope this was helpful.

Revlon ColorStay Liquid Foundation
I am a fan of this foundation. If you have combination or oily skin and looking for a long-lasting, matte foundation with great coverage, this is a great choice!! Oil-Free Formula is designed for combination to oily skin, it helps control shine and excess oil throughout the day. Comes in a variety of shades to match different skin tones.

You look like what you pay for...
I have a very oily T-zone, even when using my Becca mattifying primer. I was using Chanel Lumiere liquid foundation before this (not the one for oily skin, because I bought it in the winter when I was on a medication that gave me dry patches), which I loved, but I ran out and thought I'd give this much cheaper drugstore foundation with rave reviews a try. This foundation does prevent my typical t zone oil slick from developing when I wear it, even without mattifying primer. The coverage is great, especially with a couple of layers--a little of this goes a long way, so I would say that my typical application is thin. Since the bottle has no pump, I dip a clean q-tip into the bottle instead of touching the foundation and bottle with my fingers. I know that a lot of people hate foundations without a pump, but I like the fact that I can get EVERYTHING out. It kills me that I couldn't get to all of the makeup in my $60 bottle of Chanel foundation. That being said, this foundation feels SO thick on my skin. Maybe I'm just spoiled from using such a high quality liquid foundation before this, but I feel like my face is suffocating when I wear it. It feels like I'm covered in petroleum or something. I wore some just under my eyes, under my powdered mineral foundation yesterday, and when I tried to blend my eyeliner after this had dried, I realized how bad the consistency was...it was just sticky and thick. I guess the plus side to that is you definitely don't have to worry about transferring. It looks so unnatural to me. When I wear it my skin tone is even, blemishes and dark circles covered, but at a price!! My skin looks...weird. Older? I don't know. Just off in a bad way. I actually felt self conscious when I went out wearing this.Speaking of unnatural, the chemical smell of this...the chemicals IN this...I couldn't get over it like I thought I could. I used to be a nut about chemicals in my makeup and body care products....apparently some of that stuck, because I worry about my health when I put this on.My skin tone is hard to match because I'm biracial, so I was impressed that their golden beige worked well for me-- but it became too pale after I went to the pool one day. After that, this stuff really wasn't working for me.I've gone back to using Mineral Fusion loose mineral foundation (warm 2...you can buy this brand at Whole Foods or on Amazon!) instead of liquids in general. My skin looks flawless and natural while I still get full coverage and perfect color match. So Revlon Colorstay for oily/combo skin gets more like 2.5 stars despite my bad feelings for it because of how well it holds back oil, redness coverage, color range, low price....I gave this 3 instead of 2 stars because I was very impressed with the oil control and rarely find anything for oily skin that actually works. I'd rather apply a mattifying primer and pay more for a higher quality foundation than wear this, though.
