The Healing Power of Herbs: The Enlightened Person's Guide to the Wonders of Medicinal Plants

I am pursuing a MS in CAM. This is my first semester and my first classes are Herb and a required research class. My mom told me about this book. I was like, "Ok mom, whatever." She had me order 3 books one for me,my sister and for her. I can't believe how well written this book is! I use it as reference for all my weekly papers and I am using it as reference for two research papers that I am writing. He gives a science based breakdown of each herb and he cites everything according to the studies he is pulling from. I have access to the studies that he cites from so I am able to pull them up, but not all of them are free so this book helps me cite a study without paying the 30 dollars it costs for full access. I don't have time to go into detail right now, (I have a paper I should be writing about Feverfew that was due yesterday) but I just wanted to praise this book. Maybe when I have time I'll come back and add some more detail. Either way, if you're interested in Alternative Medicine or Herbal Nutrition, this book needs to be a part of your collection.

This is a great book, The Healing Power of Herbs. Dr Murray has carefully researched this book on botanical medicine. Everyone interested in Natural Healing and Health should own one of these.

He goes into detail on a lot of herbs and has a long list of references for you to use.
