Excellent product. Sizing is a mess.
This is a nice wetsuit for my kids. However, the sizing is egregiously mislabeled.-I have a size 6 that is actually about a size 24 month. It does not fit my average size 2.5 year old.-I have another size 6 that is about a size 4. It fits my 2.5 year old fine.-I have a size 8 that is more like a size 6.You read that right. My two "size 6's" are significantly different in size. My recommendation is to order 2 sizes up and if it is still too tight, return it and order the same size again because it might be different. As far as the product itself, I really like it.-The black part is a thick, wetsuit-like material.-The colored portion is thin and stretchy which allows for good range of motion.-The color pattern (I have orange) is highly visible from far away which is a great safety feature. I have all my kids in the same color so they are easy to spot in a crowded setting.-Good sun coverage so less sunblock is needed.-Nice beefy zipper.Be aware that this is not the kind of wetsuit that is watertight and will keep you warm. It will get soaked in when playing in water just like any other clothing. It's best for warm days.

Great value and works
We bought this for our daughter. The price is amazingly low and the quality seems high. Best of all, the product actually works. Sure, it's not a real wet-suit, but the neoprene around the torso helps just enough. She can now make it through her swim lessons in the pool and have fun without getting distracted by cold.Size seems spot on, but obviously that's a touchy issue. She's 32 pounds and we bought the 4T. It's clearly a little large, but still works. Hopefully, it'll be working next season too.

Warmer than his other suits and comfy for swim lessons
I have two kids in swim lessons at an indoor pool that is apparently kept cool for the competitive team swimmers. My older child looks fine, but my younger kid would sit on the side of the pool waiting his turn, blue-lipped, shivering, and looking for all the world like he was about to drop dead of hypothermia. He still loves swim lessons, but his dad really hates it when the kids are cold, so I turned to Amazon for a solution. This suit is just perfect for our needs. My kids both think it looks cool. The 10 year old is jealous that I can't get one in his size. The 7 year old just loves it, style, fit and he says it is the warmest suit we've tried. As far as sizing, I did opt for the size 8 for my child who wears US 6/7 clothes. (He's a small-ish kid, too.) He wears a Euro size 120 in his Hanna Andersen stuff, and the metric sizing on the company website size chart gave a Euro 128cm size. The suit looked small when I opened the package, but my child says it fits comfortably. My boys do have shorter torsos than average, however, so that may be a big factor in how well this suit fits your kid. (Did they outgrow car safety seats sooner by HEIGHT or by WEIGHT? That could help you decide about this suit... For example, my 10 year old can still fit in some car seats because his height is in his legs, not his trunk.)Realizing that our summer plans depended upon knowing the truth, I opted to use the delicate cycle (in my Miele washing machine, known for gentleness) to wash the Aqua Sphere Stingray Core Warmer, and it came out perfectly fine. Of course, I put it flat on a rack to dry--no machine drying for neoprene! The black torso portion of this suit IS neoprene. It feels thicker and rubbery-er than a normal swimsuit. The colorful arm and leg portions are the same weight as our other swimwear. I try to help my kiddo in and out of the suit because I fear that the stitching between disparate materials will be a weak point, but I haven't actually seen any evidence that we are putting too much tension on the seams, even when the 7 year old is yanking on it because he forgot to use the toilet before swim class! Our other swim suits include Solumbra/Sun Precautions full leg swim pants and long-sleeve zip-front swim top as well as standard swim trunks, so that's my comparison for fabric weight/warmth.According to the AquaSphere web site, this Core Warmer offers their maximum UVA/UVB protection as well as best breathability and quick-drying.

Runs Small, but otherwise pretty decent
As many have stated, these run small. I ordered a size 10 for my skinny 10 year old (4'8" tall, 64 lbs, with a 22" waist; 17" from lower neck to lower back). When I took it out of the box, I thought "never". But then I held his nylon swim suit up to the lower half of this warmer and his swim suit was actually smaller than the warmer. He put it on. Remember, this is supposed to be pretty skin tight so water does not constantly flood into the warmer, thereby making it 'cold'. It did fit him. He said it was a little tight in the crotch area when he bent over, but he said he will not be bending over a lot while doing his laps. For skinnier kids, I would say maximum comfort of a size 10 would be with someone that is between 4'5"-4'7". But this will get us through spring swim practices outside in a non-heated pool. Oh, and only the black part is the thicker neophrene, the colored sleeves/leg is just nylon.

Well worth it!
I followed the advice of other reviewers and purchased up in size. I have a tall, skinny 7 year old, so I bought a 10. It fits a bit loose, but is good in length. He LOVES the suit and feels so special when he wears it. It does help with his warmth too. I do think that it would help better if it were fitting him snugger, but there is really nothing that could be done differently by the suit maker on that, our child is just extremely thin. The pricing was certainly beyond reasonable considering what other similar suits were going for. Good luck!

Good product and customer service
We ordered this suit for our 6 year old. The size was a bit too snug for him even though we picked a size bigger than him. The suit itself is very good quality and the design is perfect. Just wish it fit him well. We returned the item and the seller was very kind and asked us to keep it even though they refunded us the full money. We will keep this for our younger son. He should be able to fit in it next year. Thank you to the seller for being so kind.

Keeps my child warm enough during swimming lessons
My daughter was cold during her swimming lessons, and she reports that this does the trick.

Sizes come up too short
Given 3star as the sizing is not right. As its hard to tell with wet suits had to actually wet it to try so can't return now. Bought size 8 for my very standard skinny just turned 7 year old boy and the fit is too small. In the process of ordering size 10 in a hope it would fit my 7 year old. But the design and make seems good.
