great little station for lightweight use and/or hobbyist applications.
I've been using this for more than a month now, and it's quite handy. The tip heats up SUPER FAST. Like within 15-20 seconds it's at full temperature. No issues at all. The holding clamps are sturdy enough for small electronic components, hobby motors, etc. This is a great little station for lightweight use and/or hobbyist applications.

Really valuable kit if you know what you’re doing.
Really awesome kit! One of the biggest things the thin pencil solders struggle with is soldering on massive planes. Granted I already had my own leaded solder compared to the given lead-free one, that wouldn’t have made much of a difference with how easily this thing worked. I pretty easily got some massive electrolytic caps off of a wide ground planed PCB, with didn’t have any thermal reliefs at the joints. For reference, thermal reliefs are small gaps at the solder pads/holes that help isolate the thermal mass of the joint from the rest of the board to supposedly help soldering on large planes easier. Also for those having trouble with this unit, switch out the default tip to a thicker one! There’s a reason this came with multiple differently shaped tips: they’re all suited for a differently sized solder job. My only gripe however is that the power cord is too short, but if you have an extension cord this is moot. I also got helper hands, a sponge to soak wet and clean the tip after every use, and a convenient roller to keep my solder on. What more could I possibly ask for at this price point? This definitely beats having to rely on the >$2k Weller I was borrowing from my college lab! Only time will tell how long this will last, but with about 600F (or around 320C) and as long as you use the wet sponge and clean and tin your tips after every use, this should stand quite the test of time.

Great entry level kit!! Buy it!
Excellent value! I’m coming from a generic pencil soldering iron and a big trigger pull iron and I mainly work on guitars and tube amps. This new one is so much better and really heats up fast and holds temp. Great for occasional use, but is plastic and at this price, it is obviously not designed for a serious pro or daily shop use. Note, some complain about the helping arms not staying in place but make sure to use the supplied nuts that come with it on each arm, and tighten those to the side, not tighten just the arms to the side. (Watch the video!) Pros: Heats up quickly. Easy to read temp display. Holds temperature. Place to hold a roll of solder Helping arms are great and easy to move, has plastic removable ends Small and does not take much room, self-contained, looks good Multiple tips supplied, a place to store all, and all actually work well Supplied solder works well, love the roller Arms can be removed Long cord on the soldering iron making it easy to keep the cord out of the way. Cons: Power cord to the unit is way too short. At least have it long enough it will reach the floor from a standard height table. Could have used a small movable led light, maybe as an extra arm. Heating at the tip is sometimes lacking. I’ve measured the area about the tip to temp, but at the tip it can be significantly less. Overall, I'm crazy OCD doing research and this is the one I landed on after hours of looking around. I've not found a better one with all the accessories in any brick and mortar store nor one at this price online that gets these reviews.

It works! Already saved me about $80 doing a DIY repair on an electric chainsaw
Works! I used what came in this kit and followed a tutorial on youtube to desolder a connection point and then resoldered back on a switch that fell off of the ignition chip of my electric chainsaw when I overheated it. It worked, and my electric chainsaw is back up and running again! Worth the attempt in my opinion! It was a little nerve wracking and my solders look really bad because I have no skill what-so-ever at using the soldering iron yet - but I repaired a $109 electric chainsaw for about 1/3 of that price in tools. I was also not aware that I was going to need to remove the leftover solder from the connection point before soldering the piece back on - so that fact that the little suction tool that I needed to do that was already in the kit was pretty cool! Great little kit that functions well, I recommend it. Id say if anything was missing - I did need some glue for the components that I was reattaching that was not in this kit I just used some superglue that I already had on hand. Also, I used some rubbing alcohol on a Q-tip to clean the components. (Just things to be aware that you might need!) I'm also going to use this little kit to solder some replacement zippers onto an old backpack. All-in-all, its been a great buy!

Perfect for Hobbyist
This product is amazing, its small, VERY quick to heat up, and just overall perfect for hobbyist. The tips are very easy to swap around and keeping them clean is no issue at all. Would recommend

Om first use itself, poor build quality is evident in all aspects. LED display never tells correct temperature. Knob is fiddly. Helping hands are useless. The holder for solder wire wobbles. NOTHING ABOUT THIS IS GOOD! I was misled by reviews. Takes forever to reach soldering temperature. Is short, GARBAGE. I have borrowed a friends soldering iron that cost him one tenth. On top of that, Why is Amazon selling 120 Volts products in India WITHOUT declaring this upfront!!! This means shelling out THOUSANDS for a good voltage converter on top of this garbage product. WHY???
