50 ESE Coffee Paper Pods 44mm | DECAF

Great coffee, I’ve bought many boxes of black donkey coffee, we have settled on the intense and the decaf.

Really nice pods. Smooth taste, nice crema and each pod freshly foil wrapped.. Decaf white pods are nice and smooth. The red colour are fairly strong, nice as an Americano or if you want a nice kick. Gold pods are smooth, good for every coffee type. Best ESE pods on Amazon and very reasonably priced too

Forgot about pods so bought them to try out. Simple to use and nice taste. But come loose in a box and each one has a plastic wrapper so not exactly a step forward for the environment and will go back to grounds. Our coffee machine struggles to pump the water through it.

Coming from proffessional barista. This is really good quality decafenated coffee pods. Great crema, taste amazing. My favourite brand.

Seem slightly undersized compared to other ESE pods. Leads to a very weak cup of coffee. Glad I only got 50 because I've given up on them now and ordered another brand. Tried in a specific ese basket and a normal single shot. Just can't get a good coffee. They are 7 g of coffee, i think it's just the packing of the coffee in the paper that is wrong. Too small a diameter, too tightly packed. Update - tried using these again today (17/03/2021) and they are vile.... I just chucked away about 2/3rds of them. They must have really had something wrong with that batch. I have similar pods purchased from another brand and they are fine. Black Donkey = epic fail.

This coffee is not bad at all - mostly in the aftertaste and decent strength. Body is okay, crema is pathetic. When I call this coffee epic though, I don't mean great (it's average), I mean it'll take a long long time to fill a mug. My dualit 3 in 1 literally drips after the first few seconds - fast drips to be fair, but still drips. This is not normal for my machine and I usually have to pause to let pressure out. Having done a time comparison to a Dualit pod the results are as follows: Dualit ESE pods (x2): 2m33s Black Donkey ESE pods (x2): 3m54s That's without counting the time to release some of the pressure which speeds up the flow slightly. All in all a nice decaff once it's in your mug, slightly expect it's going to break my machine though so will probably try something else in the future.

Individual ESE coffee pods nicely packaged and easy to open. Good best before date lasting until 2022, much better than other pods I have purchased from another supplier with just 3 months shelf life. This is important if you are ordering a large quantity. I noticed other comments about problems using these pods used in a DeLonghi machine , but chose to ignore that advice as I was only ordering 50 pods. From first use in my DeLonghi machine, it is clear that these pods do not work well in this machine, due to very slow flow. The coffee just drips into the cup. There was ample pressure built up around the pod as steam escaped under pressure when releasing the pod holder. As an experiment I tried splitting the pods and using the contents in a normal basket for ground coffee, but this produced the same result. I can only guess the problem is with the particular grind used for these coffee pods. Once brewed the coffee has a strong and pleasant taste, so I will use the rest of the coffee in a coffee pot. This is disappointing as my machine works well with other ground coffees or pods and I really wanted the ESE pods, as they make much less mess.

The pods are individually wrapped and the aroma when opened is wonderful start to the day. It just does not taste like typical decaf, it has a full flavour and tastes great. Only downside is some of the sachets are not marked and if you have a variety of coffees it could be a problem.

Gekauft haben wir den Black Donkey weil uns der Name gefiel. Bis jetzt haben wir von Carbonelli den entkoffeinierten Kaffe gehabt und wir wollten mal was anderes probieren. Passt genau in unser Geschmacksschema - Carbonelli, Borbone und Lucafe sind die anderen Kaffees die wir sonst verwenden.

Ich trinke nur entkoffeinierten Espresso,dieser wird mein Favorit. Er ist , finde ich äußerst schmackhaft. Eine leicht süßliche Note , perfekt für mich .

Warum nur zeigt Amazon diesen Artikel an, wenn man ausdrücklich nach Senseo-Pads sucht?! Leider passen sie dafür nicht!!! Eigentlich finde ich die Idee eines entkoffinierten Espresso charmant, kann so aber nichts über die Qualität sagen. Allerdings muss man bemängeln, dass die Pads einzeln in Aluminiumtütchen verpackt sind (die Kompostierbarkeit der Pads wird damit ad absurdum geführt) und man beim aufreißen dieser Hülle schnell auch die Pads beschädigt!
