Legrande Circus & Sideshow Tarot

I think I'd give it 4.5 ☆ and I rounded it up in the artist's favor.This is a nice, inexpensive alternative to the much more expensive and independently printed Zircus Magi which is a high end art circus themed tarot deck.The quality of this original art work is terrific and does not have a photo shop, collage, montage quality to it because it is actual drawing, increasingly rare in contemporary tarot decks. I also love the lack of keywords on these cards, just the numbers and the higher trump cards' names.It's a generous size, perhaps too large for some purposes or tarot reading surfaces, but a nice quality card stock and box. It photographs well for remote readings.The circus theme has a dark side as well as a fun side and I think that vibe is present. The circus lends itself well to tarot interpretations putting an ironic twist perhaps, on real life questions.My only reservation, and I might change my mind about it in time, is that associations with some of the card's imagery seem to wander from the suit it represents.For those of you who read within the RWS tradition you will be on familiar turf and for those of us more inclined toward the Continental or Marseille tradition there is leeway for broader interpretation.It's fun and a bit sinister and really fun to look at. Artistic comic book style if there is such a thing. And the price is just awesome!

I love this deck! What can I say, this is a super fun deck. The colors pop, the cards have a great feel to them and the imagery is whimsical and yet really well suited to the RWS style of Tarot design. I find the deck easy to read with and the LWB is actually quite informative giving interesting background to the various performers and circus folk who take the stage in the beautiful deck. I must confess that when I first saw the Conjoined Twins as the Temperance card, I might have started dancing around my house with glee. The cards come in a cute sturdy box which is great for storage and the cards themselves have a really nice feel (not too much sticky laminate) to them. They shuffle very smoothly and while they are wider than most cards, they are still very easy for me to shuffle with my small hands. Buy this deck! It is fun, vibrant and full of retro circus energy. I don't think you will be disappointed with it.

I am in love with the artwork and feel of this deck. I'm not even particularly interested in the circus and sideshow arts, however, I purchased this deck solely for the interesting artwork, and I am not disappointed. I find that this deck reads very well intuitively, while still following the traditional RWS layout. If this style of artwork is appealing to you, I cannot recommend this deck enough. Each card is cleverly designed and just truly a joy to look at and read with. 5 Stars!!

After watching a rave review about these cards and US Games, I just had to have them! My first set were damaged very badly. They were unusable. My concern with the damage was that the beautiful hard box it came in was perfect without flaw. So that told me the damage happened in factory with the cards themselves. Which occasional damage is not unreasonable. I returned my cards with no problem, I Love returns with Amazon!My replacement cards came. In the top corner of one card there was a nick on it. But the nick didnt go thru the card, only left the card discolored in the nicked area. But the nick is visible if your looking at the stacked deck. So I used a White Painters pen and covered that spot. I think that did the trick :):) the artistic work on these cards is AhMazing! I love the nontraditional paintings depicted on each card. They are beautiful!My only concern is that having had two decks now, with each flawed, makes me wonder about the quality. I also believe the price should be lower. I gave 4 stars because everything went very well with the return. Also that they are beautiful. Thank You for such a smooth transaction!

Great deck! Good card stock and size. I like the circus and sideshow theme and the art. On the other hand, although it’s hardly noticeable anymore, I don’t like the “US Games” copyright stamp on each card. I feel the same way with all decks that have each card stamped. I think the art and unique size make up for it, though. It’s overall great.

Fun deck, takes me back to my childhood on the boardwalk of Seaside NJ. Sturdy cards, great to shuffle, one of my favorite decks, love ❤️

This is one of the BEST tarot decks I own and I have a fair few. There is nothing earth shattering as far as revelations, very RWS based. But the artwork is spectacular. I love looking at these cards, and the artist really understands the circus world. Perfect match ups for the various major and minor arcana cards. I love The World card. What a hoot. (Won't spoil it) I am so happy I bought this deck. Saw it on Arwen Lynch's Tarotscopes and love at first sight. Had to have it.

Shuffling the deck is okay. Colorfully fun; but bare in mind, the imagery does have a more subtle intuitive level. This deck might not be well suited for a beginner. I would recommend to anyone. However, if the deck does not resonate with you; look else where. It would still be a good collectable item!

Found a mini treasure with this great quality deck from U.S.Games. I paid half price and I feel really lucky. The energy of the cards is fun and bold and the artwork is really crisp and shows characters from mid-century circus scenes in all kinds of daily situations. I really liked the booklet too. Some of the interpretations are quite insightful. The Empress card really surprised me! Big happy lady in a flowing pink dress on a green throne amid pink roses. An interesting blue curtain with yellow flowers too. The colors in many images really add a layer of information. I tend to associate them with chakras. But you could read them your way too. Awesome quality. (Half price in my case. ) You can't say no to this one.
